Safety Orientation

Head to the launch site in the mountains of Kohala in the comfort of an air-conditioned four-wheel drive van. Your guide will share with you the history of King Kamehameha and Hawaiian culture, as well as point out various historical spots related to the Plantation Days on the island.
After heading past a locked gate and into private property exclusive to Flumin' Kohala Eco Adventures, hop out of the van to take a short hike across a 150 foot flume and waterfalls to the kayak launch site.

Take in the beautiful views as you go through the lush rainforests, and listen as your guide regales you with more fascinating stories and history of the area. Get ready for an adventure of a lifetime as you go through a number of tunnels and well-maintained flumes.
On your way back, drive through a Macadamia Nut Plantation and the Plantation Village as your guide points out interesting spots in Hawai, a quaint little town which was once the hub of the sugar industry.
