This ultimate Big Island adventure starts with a casual drive along the scenic Hamakua Coast, but quickly picks up the pace with seven intense ziplines that let you fly over the incredible landscape around Akaka Falls State Park. After a picnic lunch at a private waterfall, the tour continues to Volcanoes National Park where you can see all of the park's highlights, including steam vents and the Jaggar Museum, before sitting down for a relaxed dinner. To end your all-day adventure, witness the spectacular glow of lava in Halemaumau crater as the sun fades.

    Gear up and prepare for your full ziplining experience. Friendly staff members are on hand if you have any questions about the ziplines or Akaka Falls.
  • 11:00 7-Line Zipline Adventure at Akaka Falls State Park
    Action_158 Race the wind over seven different ziplines of varying lengths, each of which gives you incredible views of the surrounding state park. Glide over waterfalls and ravines as you take in panoramic views and fresh Hawaiian air.
  • 13:30 Eat Lunch at a Private Waterfall

  • 19:00 Eat Dinner at a Cafe near Volcanoes National Park
    Enjoy a delicious dinner at Crater Rim Cafe.
  • 19:30 Arrive at Halemaumau Crater
    Skyline Eco-Adventure 06 Experience firsthand the spectacle of an active crater that, according to Native Hawaiian legends, is the home of Pele, goddess of fire and volcanoes.
  • 21:00-22:00 Drop-off
    • Absolutely NO SMOKING is allowed on tour.
    • Each participant MUST weigh between 80 lbs (36 kg) and 260 lbs (118 kg). Please provide accurate body weights during booking as you will be weighed at check-in. Misrepresentation of body weight could result in denial of service without a refund.
    • Participants must be able to physically hike one (1) mile over uneven terrain in hot conditions.
    • Guests with exhaustion are not permitted to participate in this activity.
    • Guests with heart and cardiovascular issues are not permitted to participate in this activity.
    • Guests who are pregnant are not permitted to participate in this activity.
    • This activity is not wheelchair accessible.
    • If less than 2 participants are booked, the activity may not operate.
    • Children 10 years old and above can participate in this activity.
    • Guests should not have serious fear of heights (acrophobia).

How safe are the ziplines?
  • All ziplines have have been built to meet or exceed standards of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) and the American Society for Material and Testing (ASTM). The zipline course was inspected and certified by qualified inspectors prior to opening. Ongoing inspections by quality inspectors are conducted annually, and prior to the opening of additional lines.
What meals are provided on the tour?
  • For lunch, you'll enjoy a picnic-style lunch at a waterfall, having a bento that includes teriyaki chicken, fish, sauteed vegetables, and steamed rice.

    After sunset you'll be treated to a sit-down dinner at the famous Crater Rim cafe, overlooking the glow of Halemaumau Crater!

    Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available upon prior request. Please specify during booking.
