The Legends of Hawaii Luau offers two different luau packages, and the both include unlimited beverages from the walk-up open bar, interactive lei greeting, full Hawaiian dinner service, complimentary self-parking, gratuity, and an evening luau show.

• Standard Package: Includes general seating for dinner and the show, and table service for the appetizers and desserts.
• Premium Package: Upgrade your luau experience with VIP front section seating, priority dinner service, premium shell lei, and $10.00 off the professionally taken group photo.

Local expert tips

• This books up quickly, so we highly suggest booking Big Island luau tickets at least 2 to 4 weeks in advance, especially during busy seasons like summer and spring break.
• Seating is done at private tables for up to 10 participants, and the first course and dessert will be served to you, while the main courses can be selected from the self-serve entree station.
• With a fully wheelchair accessible location, the Legends of Hawaii Luau is a wonderful choice for guests with mobility issues. While there are areas that are covered in grass, you will be able to easily navigate the luau grounds in both a wheelchair or a scooter. Luau employees will also be available to offer assistance if needed as well.
• The luau has a delicious dinner menu with an assortment of locally made dishes featuring cuisine that represent the many different cultures in Hawaii. There is also a kid’s menu with chicken tenders and macaroni & cheese for the keiki to enjoy.
• Recommended attire: While there is no dress code at the HIlton Waikoloa luau, resort casual or Aloha wear, with a light jacket or sweater is recommended. Flat shoes are a better option than high heeled shoes since the grounds are uneven with grass.

Before the luau show and dinner, guests are invited to watch and participate in a variety of different pre-show cultural activities. It should be noted that these activities are all subject to change and availability depending on the availability of the practitioners.

How to get there?

The Legends of Hawaii Luau is located at the Hilton Waikoloa Village on the north east side of the Big Island While transportation is not provided for any of the luaus on the Big Island, the Legends of Hawaii Luau is easily accessible by car, taxi, or ride from all major resort areas on the island.

For guests staying in Waikoloa, the luau is anywhere from a 5 to 15 minute drive. From Kailua-Kona, it is approximately 30 miles away and depending on the traffic conditions, it can take between 45 minutes to an hour to drive to the Hilton Waikoloa Village. Complimentary self-parking is available.

Ample parking is available at the hotel, and the bellhop or front desk can also assist in arranging a taxi or rideshare at the end of your luau.

Although public transportation is available on the Big Island, due to the infrequency of the departures, it is not recommended to use these services.
