Our guide filled in historical notes - this was the first location for settlement on Hawaii nearly 2,000 years ago - an identified loacal vegetation and agricultural factors.

We rode in the 4x4 and we're more protected from mud than the others. We still got a little muddy but it was just enough to be fun. The waterfall was a great experience. The water was very, very cold. It was nice to wash off and enjoy a snack before heading back. The weather was cool and wet during our trip....more

Let me tell you, 15 minutes into the tour it felt like a total bargain. The van was super comfortable and clean.
