We spent a week in Tokyo and this ended up being one of our favorite things about the trip. Amazing service, great food and all you can drink. Tokyo bay is very beautiful at night and this cruise lasted over 2 hours taking us to several nice view points where we could snap photos from the upper deck. Our main host for the evening was Kaoruko, she was so nice and friendly making sure the food was to our liking and made sure we always had a drink in our hand. She would explain the different areas of the bay we were exploring in both Japanese and English so that we could understand. Anyone visiting Tokyo should fit this cruise into their itinerary.

This is a great way to see Tokyo at night. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive. Even though their English was limited they made sure the evening was great for us. The food was delicious and gave us a chance to sample different types of food. Definitely recommend

The yakatabune (houseboat) is used for various purposes, and this is my first time here. It's stylish in many ways. There was a sunken kotatsu, but we had chair seating during our visit. My foreign friend was delighted! However, the sunken kotatsu allows you to feel the movement of the waves more directly. Compared to others, it feels more elegant and doesn't have a rustic vibe. The all-you-can-drink system is well-organized; they bring drinks when you order instead of self-service. It's a nice cruise dinner experience. Oh, and there was a smoking area too!

屋形船はいろいろ利用していて、こちらは初めてです。
いろいろな意味でおしゃれ。掘りごたつとありましたが、我々のときは椅子席。
外国人の友人と一緒だったので喜ばれました！
しかーし、掘りごたつのほうがダイレクトに波の動きを感じられる。
他と比べるとおしゃれです。泥臭い感じがありません。
飲み放題も自分ではなく、ちゃんとオーダーすれば持ってきてくれるシステム。
おしゃれなクルーズディナーと思えばよし。
あ、喫煙所もあったし！

The boat cruise was very enjoyable. We had a big group and the staff was friendly and enthusiastic. The sights of Tokyo from the water was wonderful. The show near the end of the cruise was entertaining. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 star instead of a 5 star is the quite underwhelming menu. The main dish was tempura, with maybe 4 pieces total. One shrimp. One. Another dish had 3 pieces of sashimi. The rest consisted of small dishes. In the photos, you can see crab legs and a huge plate of sashimi, which is very deceiving. My son was starving when we left. I have a friend who did a yakatabune a week prior with another company and he spoke of crab legs and plateful of sashimi. I guess the big draw is the all you can drink portion of the cruise. If you ordered the food anywhere else in Tokyo, it would probably cost 2000 yen. The staff, ambiance, and the people we were with made the cruise worthwhile.

Had a great experience last night on a traditional Yakatabune 屋形船 boat dinner / cruise operated by 屋形船　三河屋 Funayado Mikawaya.
We cruised up Sumida river, went under Rainbow bridge towards Odaiba /Ariake. We anchored in front of the Decks complex / Fuji TV building. Rainbow bridge and the Tokyo skyline looked pretty.
The food was good and there was plenty of 'all you can drink' drinks on offer. A great experience.

The cruise was well organised and had an English speaking host which was helpful as the crowd was split about 50/50 of locals to tourists. The food was excellent and the drinks were free flowing - loved the plum wine! We had the opportunity to head onto the top deck of the boat to take photos and enjoy the views of Tokyo. There was entertainment and it was just overall a really pleasant evening. I highly recommend this tour.

We were taken care of by your establishment with a group of nine colleagues visiting from overseas. One person couldn't eat raw food, and another was vegetarian, so after consulting in advance, we were provided with roast beef instead of sashimi and fresh vegetable tempura for the vegetarian staff. We are truly grateful for that.

Of course, the sashimi, crab, and tempura were all excellent, but the deliciousness of the clam rice and miso soup served at the end was truly moving! Thank you for the heartfelt and delicious meal.

We will definitely use your services again!

海外から来ていた同僚と一緒に9名でお世話になりました。１人が生ものがNG、１人がベジタリアンのため事前に相談したところ、刺身の代わりにローストビーフ、ベジタリアンのスタッフには新鮮な野菜の天ぷらをご用意いただき、本当に感謝です。

お刺身やカニ、天ぷらはもちろんのこと、最後に出していただいたアサリご飯と味噌汁の美味しさは感動ものです！心のこもった美味しい料理をご馳走さまでした。

また利用させていただきます！

As the reviews said, the food was delicious, and the staff were very kind. What surprised me the most was that the neighboring table had place cards and appetizers prepared, but it seemed they were canceled and did not board. However, every time a type of tempura was served, it was also plated for that table. My Korean friends who came with me were impressed by this as well. We had a great time throughout our visit.

口コミ通りお料理も美味しく、従業員の方もとても親切でした。何より驚いたのはお隣のテーブル席に席札や前菜などの用意がされていましたがキャンセルされた様で乗船されなかったのですが一種類ずつ天ぷらがあがる度にそちらへのテーブルにも盛り付けられていた事です。一緒に行った韓国のお友達夫婦もこれには感心していました。終始楽しく過ごせました。

It was a memorable night for all of us. The food served are great, especially the crab legs:) The view was overwhelming, the lights from the city and boats make the whole thing extra special. A very nice way of spending your Friday night!

*maybe it would be nice if the tour also has an English-speaking guide or even an audio guide in English.

It was a cool experience to see Tokyo sights like the Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo Tower aboard a Yakatabune while we cruised along Sumida River. But on top of everything else, I enjoyed the Japanese cuisine and unlimited drinks! Also a plus was the Haagen Dazs boat selling varied ice cream flavors. :)

A good way to enjoy the Tokyo cityscape at night. The food was delicious and came in generous amounts. Vegetarians and people who are not a fan of raw fish don't need to worry either, as the tour provides alternatives. As for drinks, there weren't a lot of choices, but beer and sake were on the menu, so no complaints. The guide spoke purely in Japanese, but I believe non-Japanese speakers can enjoy the tour regardless.

This tour is perhaps best enjoyed with a group of friends or coworkers.

The boat is very clean and surprisingly stable once it gets going. The fresh tempura was yummy and the view of all the colorful boats on the water was really pretty, we all had a great time.

Despite everything being in Japanese, the meal, view, entire atmosphere was super! Perfect TGIF moment with fellow coworkers. At first I was worried we would be plastered on the floor like other houseboats, but this one had chairs. Got comfy immediately and began eating and drinking non-stop! The groups we shared the boat with were pretty small and was spacious enough for us to move around inside and outside of the boat.

I participated with seven classmates from high school. The tempura was freshly fried and delicious. The restroom was small and old, but it was clean and comfortable. It was the perfect time for cherry blossom viewing, with the sakura in full bloom. If we could have stopped at a good photo spot, it would have been five stars.

お手洗いも狭くて古いですがきれいに掃除されていて快適でした。
ちょうどお花見の時桜が満開の見ごろで最高でしたが撮影ポイントで停泊していただけたら

The food was delicious, and my parents, whom I brought along, were very pleased. However, during the reservation, it was mentioned that the course would include a tour towards Odaiba, so I was expecting that. In reality, it was a cherry blossom viewing course that did not go to Odaiba and stayed around Sumida Park the entire time. The cherry blossoms were hardly blooming, and since I had signed up to show my parents the view of Odaiba, I really wished they had at least informed us beforehand that we wouldn't be going to Odaiba. That was the only disappointment.

お料理がどれも美味しく、連れていった両親も大変喜んでいました。
ただ、予約時のコース説明に、お台場方向までの周遊とあったので、そのつもりでいたのですが、実際はお花見コースでお台場方面には行かず、隅田公園の方にずっと留まったままでした。
桜がほとんど咲いていない状態でしたし、両親にお台場の景色を見せてあげたく思って申し込んだので、せめて出向前に、一言、お台場にはいかないと、言ってほしかったなぁと、それだけが残念でした。

I was very satisfied with everything: the food, the cleanliness of the ship, the staff's service attitude, and the cruise course.
It was a course with ample time, so I was able to spend a very relaxing time.
The tempura was freshly fried and incredibly delicious.
It was great that it included all-you-can-drink, sakura mochi, and even fruits.
I would like to use this service again if I have the opportunity.

I had wanted to ride on a yakatabune (houseboat) for a long time, and since there was a great lunch plan available, I decided to join. The freshly fried tempura was delicious, and the all-you-can-drink option was perfect for my husband and me, who enjoy drinking. The staff were all very nice as well.

It was my first time to visit japan and ride the cruise for dinner. The staffs are fun, friendly, entertain and international. Don't be afraid if you cannot speak japanese coz they can speak english. The food are really good and delicious.

The food was good, could do with a bit more, but the drinks are in abundance. The hostess on the night was friendly, knowledgeable and inclusive. The diners on the next table were so much fun, despite minimal English. I would definitely recommend the cruise.

At night, the view of Odaiba and the Tokyo Skytree from a yakatabune on the Sumida River is just beautiful! ✨ It's a different kind of splendor compared to the view from the ground. They even give you time for photos, and the food is quite delicious! Especially the tempura of the sweetfish—so good! I became friends with people I didn't know just moments ago. Shared yakatabune experience is the best! ✨

夜、屋形船で隅田川から見るお台場やスカイツリーのなんて綺麗なこと❕✨地上から眺める景色とはまた一味違う華やかさです。ちゃんとお写真タイムもとってくれるし食事も普通に美味しいし❗特にきすの天ぷら❗ちょーうまい❗さっきまで知らなかった人ともうお友達乗り合い屋形船 最高です❕✨

My husband and I participated together. I was moved to see the view from the Skytree, and this time I was looking up at the Skytree from below! The all-you-can-drink option was great, and the meals were served at just the right timing, allowing us to fully enjoy the experience. Thank you very much.

主人と二人で参加しました。スカイツリーから見下ろしていた風景だったのが今度はそこからスカイツリーを見上げている！と感動しました。飲み放題でお食事もタイミング良く出てきて満喫出来ました。ありがとうございました。

Lovely time for our group of 25! As we chartered the boat, we chose to go up the Sumida river rather than around Tokyo Bay, but still managed to fit in Skytree and Rainbow Bridge.
Even though we arrived unexcusably late, our host was lovely and started the clock from then on for the 2 hours...brilliant, friendly service on board, nice food.
A treat not only for our visitors but the locals as well, thouroughly recommend it!

We recommend the plum wine on the rocks. It was great! The hosts were very friendly and translated everything to English even though 90% of boat were locals.

We had been wanting to ride a yakatabune (houseboat) as a couple for some time, and we used this opportunity for my husband's birthday.

The food was very delicious, and they served the tempura one type at a time, freshly fried. The anago (conger eel) tempura was especially tasty. The staff's service was also great!

We enjoyed the scenery, and the boat stopped for a while near Odaiba and the Tokyo Skytree, allowing us to take photos and enjoy the view at a leisurely pace.

I definitely want to use this service again!

以前より夫婦で屋形船に乗ってみたいと話しており、主人の誕生日に利用しました。

お料理はとても美味しく、天ぷらは揚げたてを一種類づつ出してくれます。 特に穴子の天ぷらが美味しかったです。
スタッフさん達のサービスも良かったです！


景色も楽しめて、お台場、スカイツリーの近くではしばらく船を停めてくれるので、写真を撮ったり景色をゆっくり楽しむ事が出来ました。

また是非利用したいと思います！

I have visited Japan many times but never experienced Yakatabune boat.
It is a ery nice and complete experience. You can enjoy nice views of Tokyo Bay and a delicious traditional Japanese Dinner. The food was very fresh with Apetizers, sushis, nice tempura cooked on the boat (Vegetables, nice fishes), rice, dessert and open bar.
Nice views from the top of the boat. Few stops to make picturs of Tokyo Skey tree, Rainbow bridges. The staff is very nice and has special attention to guests. Very typical experience, not so many foreigners, lots of Japanese people. We were all very happy and there was a very good atmosphere among guests. I definitely recommend this experience!

I told her a silly story about the cruise, i made it up that if she rides on it she could never say no what ever i will aks ger..indeed it worked,i got her yes while on stopover straightly looking at the magical view of the skytree!thanks for the magical night!

A great experience if you are traveling in the area. The dinner cruise was fun and great sights! I will definitely do this again when in Tokyo.

I always thought that riding a yakatabune (traditional Japanese boat) was something to do in the summer, but I heard that in December there are Christmas illuminations and fireworks, so I decided to take a ride on a winter yakatabune!

We gathered at the boat dock, about a 5-minute walk from Kachidoki Station. Since it was the year-end party season, there were more people than I expected. After waiting for a while, we boarded the boat, and drinks were served right away as we set off. On Saturdays in December, there are fireworks in Odaiba, so we took a reverse route from usual. We headed towards the Christmas illuminations in Odaiba and stopped for a while to wait for the fireworks. During that time, freshly made, crispy tempura was served, and I was very satisfied with the food! Before the fireworks, not many people went out onto the deck, and the illuminations along with other yakatabune created an indescribably beautiful scene.

When the fireworks started at 7 PM, I went up to the second floor and was greeted by the Rainbow Bridge and a spectacular display of fireworks right in front of me! It was the best spot! Although it was a short 10 minutes, it was amazing. After the fireworks, we enjoyed the remaining food while heading towards Asakusa. We also got to see the Skytree lit up in green for Christmas, and it reminded me of the wonderful aspects of Tokyo. The lady who was serving and guiding us was fluent in English, so I definitely plan to use this service again when friends from abroad visit!

屋形船に乗るなら絶対夏だなーとなんとなく思っていましたが、12月はクリスマスイルミネーションと花火があると聞いて真冬の屋形船に乗ってきました！
勝どき駅から徒歩5分くらいの船着場に集合。忘年会シーズンということもあり、思った以上に人が集まってました。暫く待って乗船し、すぐに飲み物が配られ、出発。12月の土曜は花火がお台場で花火があるため普段とは逆ルートで回るとのこと。クリスマスイルミネーションのお台場に向かって進んで行き、暫らく止まって花火待ち。その間にも揚げたてサクサクの天ぷらが配られ、料理にも大満足！花火前は甲板に出る人も少なく、イルミネーションと他の屋形船が光を放ってなんとも言えない綺麗さでした。19時に花火が始まって2階に上がってみると目の前にはレインボーブリッジと大輪の花火！ベスポジでした！！10分程度と短い時間でしたが最高でした。花火が終わって残りの料理を食べつつ、浅草方面へ。クリスマス仕様で緑色に光るスカイツリーも見れて、改めて東京の良い所が見れました。運びとガイドをしていたお姉さんは英語も堪能で、海外から友人が来たら是非また利用しようと思います♪

This is my second time participating, following my first visit about three years ago. I looked at other options, but since I wanted to invite my mother-in-law and my parents, I decided to go with this place again, where I was satisfied last time.

On the day of the event, I strolled around Hamarikyu until the meeting point, passing through Tsukiji, enjoying a walk in Tokyo. It was beautiful as the lights began to illuminate. At the boarding area, which is visible right from Reimei Bridge, two boats were already docked, and many participants had gathered.

One boat was reserved by a company, and the other was for our group. From the moment we boarded, the staff member Kaoruko provided guidance in both English and Japanese, which was reassuring for my mother-in-law, who doesn't understand Japanese. I think this service wasn't available last time, but perhaps it was tailored to the clientele.

I was delighted with the seasonal appetizers, but it seemed that my two-year-old child and my parents particularly enjoyed the Edo-style tempura served one dish at a time! The all-you-can-drink option was also great, and they encouraged us to try a lot, which was fun.

My mother-in-law was pleased with the fan-shaped menu that also served as a guide to Tokyo. Taking photos on the deck at various points was essential, and these little touches were perfect for the hospitality.

This time, my child was the only small one, but with Kaoruko's care and the understanding of those around us, we were able to relax comfortably. Towards the end, my father discovered that someone from the neighboring group was from the same hometown, which created a sense of camaraderie and made us feel the joy of being part of a shared experience.

I look forward to participating again!

約3年前に続き2回目の参加です。
他も見ましたが義理の母、私の両親を招待するので、自分が前回満足できたこちらに再度お願いすることにしました。
当日は集合まで浜離宮をぷらぷら、築地を通って集合場所まで東京散歩。ライトアップされ始める時間で綺麗でした。
黎明橋からすぐ見える乗り場にはすでに二艘停泊していて、参加者の方も多く集まっていました。
一艘はどこか会社の貸切で、もう一艘が私達の乗合でした。
乗り込む際からスタッフの薫子さんが英語と半々で案内してくださったので、日本語が分からない義母にも安心でした。前回は無かったサービスだと思いますが、客層に合わせた器量でのおもてなしだったのかもしれません。
季節の前菜から嬉しかったですが、2歳の子供、両親にはやはり一品一品出てくる江戸前天ぷらがお気に入りのようでした！飲み放題も嬉しいですよね。たくさん勧めていただけます笑
義母は扇子状のメニュー兼東京案内に喜んでいました。ポイントポイントでデッキでの写真撮影も欠かせないですが、細かなところがおもてなしにピッタリなんですね。
今回小さな子供はうちの子だけでしたが、薫子さんのケアを始め周りの方のご理解があり、居心地よく過ごさせていただきました。
終盤では隣のグループの方と父が同郷ということが分かって一気に一体感が高まり、乗合の醍醐味みたいなものを感じられる時間でした。
また参加させていただきますね！
