On April 6th, my family participated in a sightseeing bus tour in Osaka. I was worried about the weather, but we were blessed with clear skies that day. Most participants gathered on time, and we departed as scheduled. I think there was about a 50/50 mix of Japanese and foreign tourists. Foreign participants were given smartphones with a guide function, while Japanese participants received explanations from the guide. The guide's explanations were easy to understand, and I was able to reaffirm the history and culture of Osaka.

Although I have visited Osaka many times, I usually travel by subway or train, so the bus tour felt refreshing and was a great way to get a sense of the area. I could feel the atmosphere of the city and its lively nature. The tour bus was clean, the driving was careful, and being a double-decker bus added to the sense of openness. My family and I wondered how a tour would be on a rainy day. In any case, the meeting place was easy to find, making it a "comfortable!" tour.

4月6日、大阪市内観光バスツアーに家族で参加しました。天候を心配したのですが、当日は
晴天に恵まれました。集合の時間に参加者ほとんどが揃って定時の出発となりました。
日本人の方と外国人観光客の方が半分くらいの割合だったと思います。
外国人の方にはガイド機能付きのスマホが渡され、日本人に対してはガイドさんの説明という
流れでした。ガイドさんの説明は分かり易く、大阪の街の歴史や文化を再確認できました。
また、何度も訪れている大阪ですが、地下鉄や電車で移動することが多いためバスでのツアー
は新鮮で、土地勘を確かめることのできる手段だと思いました。
大阪の街の雰囲気や賑やかな様子を感じることができました。ツアーバスもキレイで運転も
ていねいで二階建てということもあり、開放感もありました。雨の日のツアーはどのように
なるのかな？と家族皆で話しました。とにかく集合場所も分かり易く、「快適！」なツアー
です。

At the end of March, I went to Osaka with my grandson, who had just graduated from elementary school. Until now, we had often participated in day trips together, but this time we discussed everything, including transportation arrangements, hotel, and itinerary, together, incorporating each other's wishes while also considering my health. The main event this time was undoubtedly the city tour of Osaka by open-deck bus, scheduled for the second day. My grandson, who loves vehicles, was thrilled and looking forward to it.

On the much-anticipated day, being unfamiliar with the area, we left the hotel early and arrived at the meeting place an hour ahead of time. I felt relieved that we could arrive early rather than wandering around and getting lost in an unfamiliar place. The bus departed as scheduled at 10:30 AM on the "Namba Route." We had the front seats, and the view from the double-decker bus was magnificent, with the refreshing morning breeze flowing through the bus.

Since it was my grandson's first time in Osaka, he was very excited, looking to the right and left as the guide explained things, his eyes sparkling with excitement. Since we usually live separately, it felt like a long time since I had seen him so happy and enjoying himself, and I was truly glad we came together.

Along the way, I couldn't help but take a picture of the cherry blossoms, which were about 30-40% in bloom. After departing from Umeda and passing through Midosuji, the 60-minute "Namba Route" tour ended in no time while we were excitedly sightseeing in Osaka. My grandson seemed to want to stay on the bus a little longer, but he was still very happy and satisfied.

3月末、小学校を卒業した　男の子の孫を連れて　大阪に出かけました。
今まで　日帰りツアーには　二人でよく参加していたのですが　今回は交通の手配から　ホテル　日程など　全て孫と二人で話し合い　お互いの希望を入れつつ　私の体調も考えた上で　スケジュールを組みました。そして今回のメインイベントは　何と言っても　二日目に予定していた　オープンデッキバスによる　大阪市内観光です。乗り物の大好きな孫は　大喜びで　とても楽しみにしていました。そして　待ちに待った当日、地理に疎い私たちは　早めにホテルを出て　一時間も前に　集合場所に着いてしまいました。慣れない土地でうろうろと迷子になるよりは　早めに着くことが出来　ほっと一安心でした。
バスは予定通り10時30分　「なんばルート」が　出発しました。座席は一番前の席で　2階建てバスからの眺めは　とても雄大で　朝のすがすがしい風が　バスの中を通りぬけて行きました。
大阪が初めての孫は　ガイドさんの説明に　右を見たり左側を見上げたりと　とても興奮して　目が輝いていました。普段は別々に暮らしていますので　このように　楽しそうに、嬉しそうな顔を見るのは　久々だった様な気がして　一緒に来て良かったと心の底から　嬉しく成りました。
途中3から4分咲きの　桜の花に　思わずシャッターを押してしまいました。
梅田を出発し　御堂筋を通り　大阪市内を興奮しながら観光している間に　６０分の「なんばルート」は　あっという間に終わってしまいました。
孫はもう少しバスに乗っていたかった様ですが　それでも大喜びで　満足そうでした。

The view from the double-decker bus was amazing. It was very good to efficiently see the necessary places along the southern route in Osaka and hear various explanations that accompanied it. Next time, I would like to go to the northern route.

２階建てバスからの眺めは最高でした。
大阪の南ルートの所要な場所を効率よく見て回れてそれに伴ういろいろな説明も聞けて非常に良かったです。今度は北リートに行ってみたいです。

Our trip was Osaka was a short one for our family of Seven and we did not really have all the time to visit all the tourist spots and areas. Since we were staying in the Namba area, we have decided to optimise our time within the Namba area and hence a conscious decision was made to take this Double Decker Bus Tour, and especially the South Course.

This one hour tour was with Japanese commentary by a friendly Japanese Tourist Guide. However non-Japanese speaking customers were given an iPod like devise and alternative English commentary was provided. This was a non Hop On Hop Off Tour hence true to the Japanese Punctuality Traditions, the tour started and ended right on time.

Seats on the Upper deck were also pre-determined hence there were no hustling and bustling amongst customers to get the best seats on the bus. The blankets provided by the tour provider were also convenient especially when the temperature was only around 8 degrees Centigrade at the time of our tour.

I thought it would just be about seeing the illuminations, but it was better than I expected. The comfort of the open-deck bus, the highway drive, and the guide's announcements made the 45 minutes fly by. There were also items like blankets and knee covers, which helped with the cold. I would like to recommend this to acquaintances.

イルミネーションを見るだけと思っていたけど、予想以上によかったです。オープンデッキバスの快適さ、高速道路ドライブ、ガイドさんのアナウンスなどがあってあっという間の45分間でした。カイロやひざ掛けなどもあり、寒さも何とかなりました。知人に薦めたいと思いました。

I love the lunch served during our tour, i love the floating garden, osaka castle but i am bored riding the boat.

I enjoyed my tour and the highlight was Osaka Palace. it was cherry blossom season and the feeling was magical. the tours was at a good pace. I enjoyed it more than a bus tour. the observation tower and the cruise was also most enjoyable. Osaka is a big place the subways are complicated. this is a good way to see some key sites within reach. the lobby of the Granvia hotel is not easy to locate so start early.

NICE TOUR!
I WOULD PREFER A SMALL BOAT FOR CRUISE TO BE ABLE TO GO THROUGH SMALL CANALS.

we've been impressed with Umeda sky building, and Osaka castle.
boat ride is not so impressive, it goes only on main river, not canals, nothing special to see.

It was a great tour even if it rained! The guide was very informative and friendly. We had only a short time inside the castle but nevertheless, it was great value for money. The cruise was great as well.

Great times. Very fun walk around the city and Mitch was an amazing and friendly guide. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent tour guide.Wish we had more time at Osaka Castle. We will need to spend more time there at our next visit.
