Thanks to the strong recommendation from our driver, we extended our departure by 30 minutes for a total of four hours. It's true that outside of the national roads, we were driving at a safe speed of 30 to 40 km/h, so going over time might be understandable!

Kankakei has plenty of viewpoints, and we stopped here and there to take photos, which made for great memories. The Shinpaku trees looked different depending on where you viewed them, and our driver was very knowledgeable about the history of Shodoshima, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

I considered skipping Angel Road since it wasn't the time when the road appears, but when we actually went, the sea was beautiful! I was very satisfied with the stunning view.

I was also pleased that we could visit all the places I wanted to see at the Setouchi Triennale!

The actual time taken from the hotel to Kankakei, Angel Road, Nakayama Senmaida, Shinpaku at Hosho-in, Olive Park, and the ferry terminal was about 4 hours and 13 minutes.

ドライバーさんの強いお薦めもあり、4時間に30分延長で出発となりました。確かに国道以外は時速30kmや40kmの安全運転なので、時間オーバーもしょうがないかも！
寒霞渓にはビュースポットがいっぱいあり、あちこち止まって写真を撮ってくれたので、いい思い出になりました。
シンパクは見る場所によっていろんな姿に見えるし、ドライバーさんも小豆島の歴史に詳しい方だったのでとても楽しめました。
エンジェルロードも道が現れる時間帯ではないので省こうかとも思ったのですが、実際行ってみると海が綺麗！美しい眺めに大満足でした。

瀬戸芸の展示も見たかった所は回れたので満足です！

ホテル～寒霞渓～エンジェルロード～中山千枚田～宝生院のシンパク～オリーブ公園～フェリー乗り場までで、実際所要時間は4時間13分位でした。

For those who cannot drive, it is very helpful to be taken around by bus, especially in a new place. If I may wish for something, I don't mind that lunch is separate, but it's disappointing that there are few choices.

運転できない者にとって、特に初めての地でバスで連れて行って頂けるのは有難い。欲をいえば、ランチ別途なのは構わないが、チョイスが少なく残念。

I felt that more than half of the participants were tourists from overseas. It was great that the bus guide came to the back seats while showing a board with multilingual instructions. Everyone adhered to the meeting times at each sightseeing spot, which made everything run smoothly. Thanks to the wonderful guide, I was able to learn a lot about Shodoshima! I’m glad I participated, as I was worried about driving.

I used this service for a solo trip to Shodoshima. It's convenient because they take you to places that are hard to reach without a car. The guide recited "Twenty-Four Eyes," and it was amazing.

There are many places to visit, so the sightseeing time at each location tends to be a bit short, but you can cover all the famous tourist spots. After this, it might be nice to take your time at the places you liked on your next visit. Since I can't drive, this was very helpful. Unfortunately, there were participants who were late multiple times for the meeting, which caused some delays. I was worried about making it back to the ferry, but since the schedule was well managed, I was able to make it just in time. I felt like I wanted to visit Shodoshima again.

回る場所も多いので、どうしても一箇所あたりの観光時間が短めになってしまいますが、一通り有名観光スポットに回ることができます。
これで回って、次回気に入った場所にゆっくり行けばいいかもしれないです。
車運転できないので、とても助かりました。
運悪く、参加者で何度も集合時間に遅刻する方がいて、時間がズレたりしました。
帰りの船に間に合うかヒヤヒヤしましたが、時間をちゃんと調整されていたので、なんとか間に合って良かったです。
また小豆島に観光したいと感じました。

The weather was rainy, but I think the scenery would have been amazing if it had been clear. Since it was my first time on a bus tour, I was curious about what it would be like. I was able to visit various places, buy souvenirs, and take lots of photos of the scenery, which was great. I want to go to Shodoshima again and participate in a sightseeing bus tour. If there’s a tour that includes Ikeda Port and another island next time, I would love to experience that as well. I wanted to go to Angel Road, and I want to visit Shodoshima again.

After the tour, I was worried about whether we could disband on time since I was scheduled to take the ferry back right away, but the tour was organized so that we could catch the ferry and high-speed boat to Takamatsu, and as a result, we were able to board the planned ferry with plenty of time to spare.

During the bus ride, we listened to the guide's explanations, making it enjoyable even for first-time visitors to Shodoshima. The tour efficiently covered the main sightseeing spots, but because of that, the time spent at each location felt a bit short.

I participated with my mother, and even though it was a weekday, the tour was fully booked, which showed how popular it is. There were also a few people who joined the tour alone.

ツアー終了後、すぐ帰りのフェリーに乗る予定だったので時間通りに解散できるか心配でしたが、高松行きのフェリーと高速艇に乗れるようツアーの時間が組まれており、結果予定していたフェリーに余裕を持って乗れました。
バス移動中はガイドさんの説明を聞きながら周るので、小豆島が初めてでも楽しめます。
主要な観光スポットを効率よく周ってくれますが、それゆえに各滞在時間が少し短く感じました。
母と二人で参加しましたが、平日なのに満席でこのツアーがいかに人気なのか分かりました。一人で参加されていた方も数人いらっしゃいました。

I participated in a tour to explore Shodoshima without a rental car. The views from Kankakei were amazing. You can efficiently visit the highlights of the island.

I participated on February 17th. When I was a senior in high school, I visited Shodoshima on a school trip. That was 55 years ago. With the fluent guidance of our veteran tour guide, we followed the same course as back then, visiting Kankakei, which we ascended by ropeway, the School of 24 Eyes, the beautifully clear sea, and the monkeys at the monkey park, who, despite the passage of time, remained charming. It was a healing journey filled with nostalgia. Thank you very much.

ロープウェイで登った寒霞渓、24の瞳の学校後、青く済んだ海、そして、猿山の猿達も代が入れ替わっても愛らしく、とても懐かしく思い出しながらの癒しの旅が出来ました。

The weather was great, and I had a very good experience. I felt that the sightseeing time at each location was short, but once I actually visited, it was just the right amount of time. There were places that were difficult to get around without a car, and some curves that required driving skills, but I’m glad I chose this option, including the peace of mind it provided.

お天気にも恵まれてとても良い体験が出来ました。各箇所、観光時間が短い気がしていましたが実際、行ってみたら良い尺でした。
車が無いとなかなか回りにくい場所や運転ではテクニックが必要なカーブもありましたが安心料も含めて選んで良かったです。

The course was very good.
- It was my first experience meeting free-range monkeys, and I enjoyed it.
- It was brief, but I was able to ride the ropeway, and the scenery was beautiful. It might be even better during the autumn leaves season.
- The filming location of "Twenty-Four Eyes" was also nice.
- The olive soft serve ice cream was the most delicious I've ever had.
- The souvenir shop was good too.

・放し飼いのお猿に会えるなんて初めての体験で楽しめた。
・一瞬だったが、ロープウェイにも乗れ、景色が綺麗だった。紅葉時期だともっと良いのかも。
・二十四の瞳のロケ場所も良い。
・オリーブソフトクリームが、今まで食べたソフトクリームの中で1番美味しかった。
・お土産屋さんも良かった。

The main tourist attractions in Shodoshima were covered, and the sightseeing time was appropriate. Half of the participants were from abroad, but thanks to the polite announcement of the meeting time, everyone gathered on time. I definitely want to use this again when I visit Shodoshima next time.

小豆島の主要な観光地が網羅されており、観光時間も適切でした。
参加者の半分は外国からの方でしたが、集合時間のアナウンスが丁寧だったため、全員が時間通りに集合していました。
次回小豆島を訪れる際にも、ぜひ利用したいと思います。

It was a comfortable tour with a small group of 12 participants. We covered all the highlights of Shodoshima, and the guide's explanations were clear and interesting. The weather wasn't very good in the morning, but by the afternoon, the sun came out, and we were able to enjoy the sightseeing comfortably. There was a little hiccup due to the snow the day before, which made the road to Kankakei unusable, so we had to take the round-trip ropeway, but that turned out to be a fun experience. It was an unforgettable journey of about 6 hours. Thank you to the driver, the guide, and everyone I toured with! 😊

It was my second time on Shodoshima, and my impression changed completely. The driver provided thorough explanations, allowing us to visit many places we wouldn't have been able to reach on our own, and I fell in love with Shodoshima.

The taxi driver was very knowledgeable about the local area and responded accurately to our requests. Thanks to their flexibility, we were able to see some off-the-beaten-path places, which made us very satisfied.

I was able to enjoy sightseeing not only on the course but also at local spots unique to the local drivers. The photos are from places outside of the course. We also visited Yamadoku Soy Sauce for a tour. The driving on the mountain roads was careful, and the guidance was at a comfortable distance, allowing me to enjoy my solo trip without getting tired. I definitely want to use this service on my next trip as well.

Beforehand, we added the places we wanted to visit to the model course and made a reservation. We were picked up at the port, and fortunately, we had a female driver. While discussing various options on the spot, she suggested that since it was crowded, we should visit this place first, and she even acted as our photographer. The delicious meals and recommended souvenirs were fantastic. The thoughtful attention to detail and gentle driving made us feel very safe. Thanks to this, it became a very memorable trip. 事前に、モデルコースに自分たちの行きたい所を加え、申し込みしました。港まで迎えにきて頂き、有難い事に女性ドライバーさんでした。その場でいろいろ相談しながら、今は混んでいるから、こちらを先に見ましょうとか、カメラマンまでしていただきました。美味しいご飯もお勧めお土産も最高でした。細かい心遣いと、優しい運転でとても安心でした。おかげで、とても思い出深い旅になりました。ありがとうございました。

I was torn between renting a car and taking a tour, but I decided on the tour because I wanted to focus on sightseeing at a leisurely pace. The bus tour was great because I didn't have to worry about figuring out the route or finding parking; it efficiently took us from one place to another. The guide's explanations were very thorough and easy to understand, and I learned a lot about the history of Shodoshima and various other facts. I'm really glad I participated in the tour.

レンタカーと迷いましたが、ゆっくりと観光に集中したくてツアーに決めました。
バスツアーは、道順を調べたり駐車場を探す必要がなく、次々と効率よく連れて行ってくれるのでありがたいです。

For those who don't rent a car, you can efficiently tour Shodoshima. However, since meals are eaten at Kankakei, it's really just a light snack. There are many lovely cafes in the movie village, but I think it would be difficult to find time to eat.

Many shops in Shodoshima close by 2:30 PM, so if you prioritize meals, I recommend exploring on your own to enjoy a delicious lunch. The guide's explanations were very clear, and I became well-informed about Shodoshima's geography and history.

レンタカーを借りないで小豆島を回る人には、とても効率的に観光できます。ただ食事は寒霞渓で食べるので、本当に軽食程度です。映画村には素敵なカフェがたくさんありますが、時間的に食べるのは難しいと思います。
小豆島は14：30で閉店の店も多いので、食事に重点を置く方は個人で回って、美味しいランチを食べたほうがいいと思います。
ガイドさんの説明はとても明確で、小豆島の地理と歴史に詳しくなりました。

It was hot, but it was a wonderful day with a blue sky. We started at Olive Park and enjoyed the scenery at Shoyu no Sato, the terraced rice fields, and the ropeway. The olive tea and somen were delicious too! It was a comfortable trip by taxi, especially because of the heat. I don't think we could have covered everything with a rental car. Thank you very much.

On a very hot day, traveling in a perfectly air-conditioned bus with a friendly and rare professional guide and a professional driver was great. We visited various places that we wouldn't have been able to navigate smoothly on our own. I highly recommend it. The information about the meeting time from Veltra was a bit confusing, so I contacted the bus company directly.

すごく暑い日にキンキンに冷えたバスでの移動、フレンドリーで最近では珍しいプロのガイドさん、プロの運転手さん、自分達だけではスムーズに行けないであろう所を色々周り、とても良かったです。　お勧めです。　ベルトラでの集合時間の情報が色々でちょっと判りにくかったので、バス会社に直に問い合わせました。

Many people seem to misunderstand that you can explore Shodoshima by rental bicycle, but it's actually the second largest island in the Seto Inland Sea after Awaji Island, and one of its highlights, Kankakei, is quite high up in the mountains.

As a result, since I don't drive, the only option I had was this bus tour, which efficiently took us to the sights, and I felt reassured by the experienced bus guide's commentary. The seating on the large tour bus was also comfortable.

Although the popular Angel Road was not included in the stops, when I requested it, they dropped me off in front of a nearby international tourist hotel, allowing me to fully enjoy Angel Road during low tide on my own. Of course, I had to make my way to the ferry terminal by myself, but the bus driver kindly provided the phone number for a taxi company, making it easy to arrange a ride (it seems that if you push yourself, you can reach the ferry terminal on foot in about 30 minutes).

I appreciated the discount coupons at the souvenir shop, which is perfect for passing the time at the ferry terminal, as well as the limited-time gift of hand-stretched somen noodles.

However, it was disappointing that lunch was not included, and the only options at Kankakei were simple snacks (like olive beef croquette burgers).

Although it was a Japanese-language bus tour, there were many customers from China, Taiwan, and South Korea, and important information like the bus departure times was shown by the guide on a handwritten board, so no one was late, making it a comfortable experience.

I've heard that during the autumn foliage season, they even operate two large buses due to its popularity.

小豆島はレンタサイクルでも周遊できると勘違いしてる方も多いようですが、淡路島に次いで瀬戸内海では2番目に大きい島ですし、見所の一つである寒霞渓はかなり山の上にあります。

結果的に、車を運転しない自分には、このバスツアーしか選択肢が無かったのですが、効率よく見所を回っていただき、またベテランのバスガイドさんの観光案内にも安心できました。大型観光バスの座り心地も良かったです。

立ち寄る先に、今話題のエンジェルロードが入っていないのですが、リクエストしたら近くの国際観光ホテル前で降ろしてくれたので、個人で干潮時のエンジェルロードを存分に楽しむことが出来ました。もちろん、フェリー乗り場までは自力でたどり着かなければいけないのですが、バスの運転手さんが系列のタクシー会社の電話番号を教えてくれたのでスムーズに配車もできました（頑張れば30分くらいでフェリー乗り場に徒歩で辿り着くことも可能なようです）。

フェリー乗り場で時間つぶしに最適なお土産売り場での割引券、期間限定の手延べそうめんのプレゼントも有り難かったです。

但し、昼食が含まれておらず、寒霞渓で簡単な軽食（オリーブ牛コロッケバーガーなど）しか選択肢が無かったのが残念です。

日本語のバスツアーですが、中国・台湾・韓国のお客様も多く、バスの出発時間など大事な情報はガイドさんが手書きのボードで見せて回っていらしたので、誰も遅刻する方などおらず快適でした。

紅葉の季節は大型バス二台まで出すほど人気だそうです。

I was able to visit many points, so the time spent at each location was a bit rushed, but I enjoyed it. On the way back, there were people being dropped off near Angel Road. The charm of the island, as described by the guide who spoke so enthusiastically, kept me entertained during the journey.

たくさん周るので、各ポイントで過ごす時間は少しあわただしかったですが、多くのポイントを巡れて楽しめた。帰りはエンジェルロードの近くでで降ろしてもらっている人もいた。ガイドさんがとても楽しそうに話す島の魅力が、移動中を飽きさせなかった。

It was a fun tour. The guide was also kind.
I would be happy if we had a little more time at the movie village and Olive Park. It would be even better if Angel Road was included in the tour.

I had a hard time getting around Shodoshima by local bus before, so this time I used a tour. I wished I had more time at the Twenty-Four Eyes Movie Village and Olive Park. I wanted to eat school lunch at the movie village. I also wished I had more time at Angel Road. I'm glad we were able to visit places like Kankakei that are hard to reach on our own. It was fun. I found this while researching rental cars for my first trip to Shodoshima. There was no stress from driving in an unfamiliar area, and the bus guide's stories were enjoyable. The driver's professional driving made navigating the narrow roads smooth. Both of them were kind, and I had a fun time chatting with them while waiting for everyone to gather. We visited all the must-see spots in Shodoshima, and I feel like we covered everything. I'm glad I participated.

慣れない土地を運転するストレスも無ければバスガイドさんのお話も楽しい。

I participated in a tour to efficiently enjoy island hopping on my solo trip. The first destination was a pristine white Greek windmill, and the guide made it exciting with storytelling and behind-the-scenes filming anecdotes, making the Twenty-Four Eyes Movie Village nostalgic and enjoyable as well.

独り旅で効率的に島巡りを満喫するためツアーに参加させていただきました。第一の目的地は真っ白なギリシャ風車でしたが、ガイドさんが物語の朗読や撮影秘話で盛り上げてくれたので二十四の瞳映画村も懐かしくもあり良かった。

I think it's very convenient for foreigners. Unfortunately, it rained on the day I participated, but I was really glad to join the tour and avoid various inconveniences. I especially recommend participating when you have elderly people with you. I would like to join a Vertra tour the next time I visit Japan.
