We were really lucky to have beautiful weather for our hike, with clear skies. Although we couldn't see the sparkling moss because it hadn't rained, the view from Taiko Rock was breathtaking. Our guide was like a master of iPhone photography, skillfully using the panorama feature to take various photos, which we really appreciated. We enjoyed seeing many Yakusugi trees, starting with Jomon Sugi. Since we descended about two and a half hours earlier than planned, we took a break by the Anbo River, took off our hiking boots and socks, and splashed our tired feet in the water, which was a lovely experience. It was an 11-hour journey, but there wasn't a moment when we felt exhausted, and we were able to enjoy the entire route. I think this is a tour I would recommend to everyone.

天気に恵まれ、快晴のハイキング日和だったのは、本当にラッキーでした。
雨が降ってなかった分、キラキラの苔は見れませんでしたが、太鼓岩からの眺めは絶景でした。
ガイドさんが、iPhoneカメラの達人のような方で、パノラマ機能を駆使して色々な写真を撮ってくださったのがとてもありがたかったです。
縄文杉をはじめ、色々な屋久杉を満喫できました。
下山が予定より2時間半ほど早かったので、途中安房川の沢に降りて、登山靴と靴下を脱いで川の水でちゃぷちゃぷしながら、疲れた足を癒したのもステキな時間でした。
11時間の行程でしたが、しんどくなる時間帯もなく、全ての道のりを楽しむことができました。
皆さんにオススメしたいツアーだと思いました。

I was taught very clearly about the plants and scenery that are easy to overlook. I was very satisfied that I could see all the points I wanted to visit, starting with Jomon Sugi. Considering how easy it was to talk, it was definitely the right choice to have a private guide.

見逃してしまいがちな植物や景色について、非常に分かりやすく教えて頂けました。縄文杉をはじめ、行きたいポイントを漏れなく見ることが出来たのでとても満足です。話しやすさを考えると、貸し切りガイドで正解でした。

The day before, I was worried about whether I could make it since I had been trekking to Jomon Sugi, but it turned out to be less difficult than I expected. It was helpful that we walked slowly according to our physical strength. Thank you very much for your support.

The mountain climbing on both the first and second days was tough, but I enjoyed soaking in the negative ions. However, there was a slight discrepancy between what was written in the email and what the guide said on the day, which caused some confusion.

1日目も２日目も山登りは大変でしたが、マイナスイオンを浴びて楽しかったです。ただ、メールに書かれていることと当日ガイドさんに言われたことが少し食い違っていたので混乱しました。

In mid-April, a couple in their 60s experienced the trek. The light rain improved after passing the Kosugidani settlement, and with explanations from the guide about points not included in the guidebook, we were able to complete the trek in about 10 hours without any issues. For first-time trekking to Jomon Sugi, I believe having a private guide is a must, considering physical stamina and pace management. Thank you, Yoshisune.

４月中旬の金曜日に60歳夫婦が体験してきました。霧雨も小杉谷集落を過ぎた辺りから回復して、ガイドさんからガイドブックに載っていないポイントの説明も受けながら、ほぼ10時間で順調に歩ききることができました。初めての縄文杉トレッキングでは、体力とペース配分などを考えて、貸し切りガイドはマストだと思います。吉筋さん、有り難うございました。

At the end of March, I visited Yakushima for the first time. Since my stay was limited, I decided to join a comprehensive tour! As a result, I was able to see everything I wanted in one day: the moss-covered forest, Taiko Rock, Jomon Sugi, the trolley road, and lots of moss. I breathed in the natural air and had a very satisfying day.

**Satisfaction Points**
● The ability to do so much in one go... The standard plan for Yakushima involves a 10-hour trek over two days plus a 6-hour trek... Just thinking about the fatigue on the second day is daunting. I definitely recommend doing it all in one day for 12 hours!
● Peace of mind... With a guide, the timing for breaks is perfect! The guide has been leading tours for 200 days a year and shares many interesting stories while trekking.
● Rentals available... I rented rain gear. Even though it was sunny, it was very useful (the top). I couldn't be there for the rental, but when I called the rental company for advice, they were very accommodating.

**Points to be Careful About**
● Of course, you will get tired! It's not easy! But the fun is so overwhelming that the fatigue disappears!
● This tour is not suitable for those who want to take a lot of photos... Since it's a packed itinerary, you have to trek quickly. The guide manages the time well, so there won't be stops for explanations! However, at photo points, you can take pictures freely, and the guide provides explanations while walking (you can ask if you want to know more). I had plenty of fun!
● Wear shoes that suit you!
● Battle with muscle soreness... I recommend a hot spring for that night. It feels dozens of times better than usual.

**Outfit on the Day (Late March)**
Weather on the day: It was forecasted to be cloudy, but it was clear.
● Top: Long-sleeve undershirt (Montbell) + T-shirt + rain parka (rental)
● Bottom: Hiking pants, trekking shoes
● Things I brought just in case but didn't use: Sports towel (didn't sweat), down jacket (no cold moments, only used on the bus ride back)

**Contents of My Bag**
About 2000 yen, light down jacket, two bento boxes, headlamp, two bottles of water (there's spring water at each rest area, so one bottle is enough), a lot of snacks.

**Things I Wish I Had**
Wet wipes (sometimes you want to wipe your hands after eating).

Overall, I was extremely satisfied to fully enjoy my first experience in Yakushima in just one visit!!! I want to recommend this tour to friends who are planning to go to Yakushima!

3月末に初めての屋久島。滞在日数が限られていたので思い切ってよくばりツアーに参加しました！
結果、1日で苔むすの森、太鼓岩、縄文杉、トロッコ道、苔、苔、苔、見たいものが全て見れて自然の空気をたくさん吸って大満足の1日でした。
《満足ポイント》
●なんといってもよくばれること・・・屋久島の定番プランといえば、2日に渡る10時間+6時間のトレッキング...2日目の疲労度を考えるだけでゾッとします。一度に12時間が断然お勧め！
●安心しかない ・・・案内人付きなので休憩のタイミングは絶妙！年間200日も案内しているガイドさん、トレッキングしながらお話しすると色々面白いお話聞かせてくれます。
●レンタルできる・・・レインウェアをレンタルしました。晴れててもかなり重宝しました(トップス)。レンタルにどうしても立ち会えず、レンタル会社に電話で相談した所、臨機応変に対応してくれました。

《ここ気をつけて！ポイント》
●当然疲れます！楽ではありません！だけど疲れなんぞ吹っ飛ぶほどたのしい！
●写真撮りにきてる人には向いてないツアー・・・欲張ってるのでもちろんサクサクとトレッキングしなくてはなりません。時間配分を考えながら道案内してくれるので、立ち止まってガイドはしません！だけど撮影ポイントでは自由に写真を撮らせてくれて、歩きながら説明もしてくれて(知りたければ聞けばいい)、私は十二分にたくさん楽しませてもらいました！
●自分に合った靴を履くこと！
●筋肉痛との闘い・・・この日の夜は温泉をお勧めします。いつもの数十倍気持ちいいです。

《当日の服装 3月下旬》
当日の天気：曇り予報でしたが快晴
●上：長袖肌着(モンベル)+Tシャツ+レインパーカー(レンタル)
●下：山登り用ズボン、トレッキングシューズ
●念のため持っていたけど使わなかったもの：スポーツタオル(汗をかかない)、ダウン(寒い場面がない、強いて言うなら帰りのバスで使用)

《バッグの中身》
お金2000円位、ライトダウン、弁当二個、ヘッドライト、ペットボトル2本(湧き水が休憩所ごとにあるのでもはや一本あれば十分)、大量のお菓子

《あったらよかったもの》
ウエットティッシュ(ご飯後など手を拭きたくなる時がある)

とにかく初めての屋久島を一度で満喫できて大大大満足でした！！！

I wore a long-sleeve shirt, fleece, and rain jacket, but it was quite cold. The Jomon Sugi deck was also open, so I was able to take my time taking photos and resting. I usually don't walk for long periods, but there were many other attractions besides Jomon Sugi, and I was able to enjoy walking.

長袖シャツ・フリース・レインジャケットだったのですがかなり寒かったです。縄文杉のデッキも空いていたのでゆっくり写真を撮ったり、休憩できました。普段は長時間歩くことも無いのですが、縄文杉以外の見どころも多く楽しく歩くことができました。

We started in the rain and had some worries, but thanks to our guide, both my child and I were able to walk comfortably and safely, making it a really enjoyable 22 km. Along the way, we heard many interesting stories about Yakushima's nature, the evolution of life, history, and valuable experiences that both adults and children could enjoy. My 10-year-old son was able to walk the long distance without getting bored. The rain stopped partway through, and it was great to experience both types of weather. In the second half, the guide was especially attentive to help us maintain our focus. We were truly healed by the abundant nature, felt the presence of the giant Jomon cedar, and enjoyed interacting with others while completing the hike, making for a very happy time. In the end, my son, who had become a bit tired from the bus ride, was able to savor the joy again later. Thank you so much!!

雨の中スタートし不安もありましたが、ガイドの方のおかげで親子共々無理なく安心して歩くことができ、すごく楽しい22㎞でした。道中、屋久島の自然をはじめ、生命の進化や歴史、貴重な体験談などなど、大人も子供も楽しめる興味深い話をたくさん聞くことができ、10歳の息子も長い道のりを飽きることなく歩けました。途中から雨もあがり、両方の天気を体験できたこともすごくよかったです。後半は集中力が切れないようにとくに注意しながらガイドしてくださいました。たくさんの自然にとにかく癒され、巨大な縄文杉を実感し、人ともふれあい楽しみながら完歩でき、とても幸せな時間を過ごすことができました。最後に登山バスに酔って元気のなくなった息子もあとからまた喜びをかみしめていました。本当にありがとうございました！！

I was guided by a young and cute guide with a group of five mountain girls from Kansai.
Not only did we get explanations, but we also had a lot of fun taking photos together.
At lunch, we were served warm miso soup, which helped us power up.
On the way back, I might have walked harder than ever to catch the 5:30 bus.
Everyone was able to board the bus safely.
It's a pity that I wanted to get a little closer to Jomon Sugi...
However, safety first for both Jomon Sugi and humans.

This tour was exhausting, but it was really enjoyable!♪♪

Although I usually don't exercise much, I signed up casually, but the 22 kilometers and 10 hours and 15 minutes of perfect climbing were so hard that I almost had to retire midway. Thanks to everyone's encouragement and our local main guide, Taniyama, who carried my luggage, I was able to complete it safely! I'm just so grateful! ♪( ´▽｀)

Yakushima has rain two-thirds of the year, and the mountain weather reportedly has a low rate of clear skies, but fortunately, it was a beautiful sunny day! ♪ I canceled the half-day trip to Shiratani Unsuikyo the next day due to a sore throat and heavy rain in the morning, but it was still a satisfying experience. Thank you very much.

普段、ほとんど運動をしていないのに、氣軽に申し込んでしまいましたが、22キロ、10時間15分の完璧なる登山で、あまりにハードだった為、途中でリタイアしそうに。皆さんの励ましと、地元出身のメインガイドのタニヤマさんがわたしの荷物を背負って下さったお陰で、無事にコンプリートできました！もう感謝でしかありません♪( ´▽｀)

屋久島は年間2/3が雨で、しかも山の天候は晴天率が低いらしいのですが、その日は快晴だったのもさいわいでした♪
翌日の白谷雲水峡半日の方は喉の痛みに加え、朝方豪雨だったこともありキャンセルしましたが、充分満足できる体験となりました。ありがとうございました。

The guide was a great person, and I was able to walk comfortably. Even though I usually lack exercise and had surgery and hospitalization a month ago, the course was manageable for me. Next time, I would like to try going to Taiko Rock.

The Jomon Sugi trekking tour took about 10 hours round trip, and I was filled with anxiety, but having a guide made me feel at ease. The guide provided detailed explanations at key points, so I was able to walk without getting bored.

Thank you for putting up with the chatter of the three older ladies and our declining energy levels as we got tired! They also prepared warm drinks during breaks, and brought three foldable cushions, carrying them on their small bodies along with big backpacks... I can only express my gratitude.

They took a lot of photos and later provided the data, which was very helpful! Although it was a tour in heavy rain, it became a great memory. I'm really glad we had a guide due to the bad weather. (We were able to walk a different course than usual for safety reasons.)

I highly recommend this tour with a guide for first-timers!

縄文杉トレッキングツアー、往復で10時間かかるとのことで不安でいっぱいでしたが、ガイドさんが付いていたので安心でした。要所要所で丁寧な説明もしてくれるので退屈せずに歩くこともできました。
おばちゃん3人のおしゃべりや疲れてきてだだ下がりのテンションにもつきあってくれてありがとう！休憩時には温かい飲み物も用意してくれてありましたし、折りたたみ式の座布団も3人分、小さい体に大きなリュックを背負って持ってきてくれて･･･感謝しかありません。
写真もたくさん撮ってくれてあとでデータでくれたので助かりました！
大雨の中のツアーでしたが、それもいい思い出となりました。

It was my first time canoeing, but I was able to experience it with peace of mind. While paddling the canoe, I received explanations about many creatures and plants, and everything was new to me, which was very interesting.

It rained in the morning, and my heart felt a little... We embarked on a long-awaited project to experience the heart power of the Wilson tree. We are filled with gratitude for our guide, who quietly guided us despite our noisy group. We took happy photos with the Wilson tree. The guide was considerate, helping us appreciate the Jomon cedar and the Great Cedar, and taught us about their history. We learned about the names and origins of the plants, and it was quite enlightening.

The tips on climbing and how to equip ourselves were eye-opening, and the love for Yakushima was abundant. Thank you very much.

I had some concerns about taking my elementary school-aged and preschool children, but the whole family had a great time! It was our first experience with canoeing, and we were able to paddle right away, which made everyone fall in love with canoeing. The guide was very kind, and the explanations were fascinating, making it a valuable experience. I highly recommend it!

小学生と年長の子どもを連れての体験で不安もありましたが、家族みんなとても楽しむ事が出来ました！
カヌーも進む事が出来るのか？はじめての体験でしたが乗ってすぐに進むことが出来、みんなカヌーが大好きになりました。ガイドさんもとても親切で説明もとても興味深く貴重な体験をすることができました。すごくおススメです！

I felt a sense of professionalism as they kindly accommodated changes to the meeting place and specified the disbanding time. Despite the heavy rain, I had a great time. Next time, I would like to go on a full-day course.

The walking time was long and quite tiring, but our guide, Mr. Kobayashi, was very considerate of our pace, which was a great help. We also took breaks at just the right moments, and somehow we managed to return at the end having enjoyed ourselves.

歩く時間が長く大変疲れましたが、ガイドの小林さんが歩くペースを考えて下さり大変助かりました。休憩も絶妙なタイミングで取って頂きなんとか最後まで楽しく戻って来る事が出来ました。

Due to the heavy rain since the previous day, there were warnings from the morning, and I was quite anxious from the start. However, the warnings were lifted, and we began at the Arakawa trailhead. It seems that starting from here is tougher, but I trusted the judgment of our experienced guide. It was extremely cold because of the rain, but the miso soup that the guide provided was truly comforting.

Completing two major courses at once was certainly hard, and I dealt with muscle pain for two days, but once the pain subsided, I realized it had been a wonderful experience. Perhaps due to the rain, the trekking lasted a total of 12 hours, but I'm glad I went. This course would be impossible without a guide, as it would break your spirit! (laughs)

前日からの土砂降りで朝から警報が出ており、スタートからヒヤヒヤしましたが、なんとか警報も解除され、荒川登山口からスタート
こっちからスタートするほうがしんどいらしいですが、ベテランガイドさんの判断にお任せ
雨が降っていたのでめちゃくちゃ寒かったですが、ガイドさんの出して下さったお味噌汁が本当に染み渡りました
いっぺんに2大コースを済ませる分、当然ハードで、2日間筋肉痛を引きずりましたが、痛みが引いてやっと、素晴らしい体験になったなぁと思います
雨のためか計12時間のトレッキングになりましたが、行けて良かった
このコースはガイドさん無しだと心が折れるので無理ですね 笑

I had a great trip with my dad, and we enjoyed the climb. Thank you very much for taking us to the airport. My dad, who is 74 years old, was satisfied to see the Yakusugi trees. Personally, I prefer a bit more challenging climbs, so next time I want to summit Mount San.

This was my first time in Yakushima. It was late March, so it wasn't high season, but I still enjoyed it. The weather was bad and humid, but it seems that the rocks in Yakushima are not slippery even when wet, so I didn't struggle much with the hiking. Personally, I thought Taiko Rock and the Mossy Forest were the best. I enjoyed the sacred atmosphere in the conditions after the rain. If I were to visit again, I think I would skip the Yakusugi.

今回が初めての屋久島でした。3月下旬とハイシーズンではありませんでしたが、普通に楽しめました。天気が悪くジメジメしてましたが、屋久島の岩は濡れても滑りにくいみたいでそこまで登山に苦労はしませんでした。
個人的には太鼓岩と苔むすの森が最高でした。雨上がりのコンディションで神聖な雰囲気を楽しめました。
またリピするなら屋久杉は省略すると思います。

It was my first canoe experience, and I was kindly taught everything. More than anything, I was able to take a lot of photos, creating many memories! The stories about the mangrove forest were very interesting, and I was overwhelmed by the Pinai Sara Falls! On the way back, they even prepared souvenirs of star sand for me. Thank you so much! I was picked up at 1 PM in Miyanoura and enjoyed Shiratani Unsuikyo until after 4 PM. Although the pickup area was outside the JR Hotel, I was told that since the guide lived near the JR Hotel and Iwasaki Hotel, it was possible to arrange for pickup from the hotel if requested. We were blessed with good weather, and despite it being mid-March, the temperature was quite high, which is rare for Yakushima. The guide was very knowledgeable, and we had a great time during the journey. I think trekking shoes are better than sneakers (preferably ones you are used to), and rain gear is essential. There are many places to refill water, so having a bottle or a flask is sufficient. The itinerary is about three hours long, but there are hardly any steep areas, so as long as you have the stamina to climb five flights of stairs, you should be fine.

13時に宮之浦でピックアップしてもらって16時過ぎまで白谷雲水峡を堪能してきました（JRホテルでピックアップエリア外でしたが、JRホテルやいわさきホテルの近くの集落にお住まいのガイドさんだったため、頼めばホテルまでの送迎も可能だったと言われました）。天候に恵まれ、屋久島には珍しいピーカンかつで3月半ばにも関わらず気温も高めでした。ガイドさんは話題も豊富で道中楽しく過ごせました。スニーカーよりはトレッキングシューズが良いと思いますし（出来れば履き慣れたもの）、雨具は必携だと思います。水は補給できる場所は多いので、ペットボトルや水筒が一つあれば大丈夫です。3時間程度の行程ですが、険しいところは殆どないので、階段で5階まで登れる程度の体力があれば問題ないと思います。

I had never gone hiking as an adult, so I was a bit worried, but the guide likely adjusted the pace for us, and I was able to enjoy trekking. We climbed and descended while being introduced to various spots, the air was fresh, and I didn't mind the rain at all; just being in the nature of Yakushima was enjoyable. The warm tea the guide made for us along the way was also delicious.

大人になって登山をしたことがなく少し心配でしたが、おそらくガイドさんがスピードを調整してくださっていて、楽しくトレッキングができました。
様々な箇所を紹介いただきながら登ったり降りたり、空気も美味しく、雨も気にならず、屋久島の自然の中に居ること自体が楽しかったです。
途中ガイドさんがいれてくれた温かいお茶も美味しかったです。

I participated in a tour that included Jomon Sugi and Shiratani Unsuikyo in one day. I was quite prepared for the long course of Jomon Sugi, but the guide took appropriate breaks and shared various stories, so while I did get tired, it was an enjoyable trek.

For Shiratani Unsuikyo, a different guide talked about Yakushima's nature and plants. I was very happy that they even prepared a figure of Kodama from "Princess Mononoke."

I felt a bit anxious about the low tour price, but there were no particular complaints about the advance communication or the tour itself; in fact, I was very satisfied. If I have the chance again, I would like to participate in Shiratani Unsuikyo or other courses. (Maybe I've had enough of Jomon Sugi for now. Haha.)

縄文杉1日＋白谷雲水峡1日のツアーで参加しました。
縄文杉のコースはとにかく長いということでかなり覚悟して臨みましたが、ガイドさんが適度に休憩をとってくださったり色々とお話をしてくださったので、もちろん疲れはしましたが楽しいトレッキングでした。
白谷雲水峡は縄文杉とは別のガイドさんで屋久島の自然や植物についていろいろとお話ししてくださいました。もののけ姫のこだまのフィギュアも用意してくださってとても嬉しかったです。

ツアー代金が安かったので少し不安を感じていましたが、事前の連絡やツアー自体に特に不満もなく、むしろ大満足でした。
また機会があれば白谷雲水峡や他のコースにも参加したいと思います。
(縄文杉はもういいかな。笑)

I was anxious about whether I could keep up since I decided to go. I started walking in a group of five, including the guide, and I was worried about whether I could make it back, as my feet hurt even on the trolley path. However, the guide was attentive and checked on us multiple times, allowing us to walk the round trip distance safely. They took photos for us, and during lunch, we enjoyed warm miso soup, which was exceptional for our tired bodies. I am grateful to the guide on the second day for providing various explanations. I regret not being able to stay a bit longer.

体力が持つのか行く事に決めてからずっと不安でした。ガイドさんを含めて五人のグループで歩き始めトロッコ道ですら足が痛くて帰れるのか心配でした。しかしガイドさんの気配りはさすがで何度も声かけをして下さり無事に往復の距離を歩けました。写真を撮って下さったりお弁当の時は温かいお味噌汁も頂き疲れた身体には格別でした。二日目のガイドさんもいろいろと説明をして頂き感謝です。もう少し長い滞在にしたかったと悔やまれるほどです。

On the day of the tour, the guide suggested that it might be better to cancel due to heavy rain, but we decided to go and assess the situation on-site. When we arrived, there were no traffic restrictions, so despite the rain, we were able to fully enjoy the wonderful scenery. On the way back from the tour, there were road closures, and the river had risen, making it impassable, but the guide helped us find a detour, and we managed to return safely. If you're coming here, I definitely recommend having a guide, as they provide explanations along the way and can assist in emergencies.

ツアー当日は豪雨のため中止したほうが良いのではとガイドさんから話がありましたが、現地まで行って判断することとしました。
現地についた時点では、通行規制はされていなかったため、雨の中ですが十分に素晴らしい景色を堪能することができました。
ツアーの帰路には、通行禁止となっており、また川も増水して通行できなくなりましたが、ガイドさんが迂回路を案内してくれて何とか変えることが出ました。
ここに来るならガイドさんを付けたほうが、途中での説明や緊急時の対応等をしてくれるので、ぜっていに良いと思います。
