We had a very positive experience........but found we missed out on a few activities, there was so much going on. The food was good, but the cocktails were very light on the booze for the price. Staff were excellent!

Not as advertised

The advertisement said that we might not see lava flow. Well, when we got on the bus in Hilo the driver told us that we would not see it because they don't go there. Several people left the bus and arranged another tour. We saw several lava fields and craters, the lava tube and a lot of trees. The Volcano House, where you get lunch is OK. Much of the time is spent riding in the bus looking at the trees go by. The driver did his best, the tour company needs to change the wording of their advertising.

Would suggest upgrading to mid level. Worth the service you get. The entertainment is exceptional. My eleven year old granddaughter enjoyed it as much as her Mom and Grandmother. Participate in the activities, loads of fun.

Very Good

We went as a family. It was very good. We had a great time. Everything was very entertaining. There was enough time to go around and involve yourself in any of the different activities that you may want to without making feeling rushed or too long either where you might start thinking let's move this along. The backdrop of the ocean was breathtaking. There was a fantastic sunset which made for the best photos of a sunset over water I have ever taken. The show during the dinner was very good and so colorful. The staff was friendly and cordial. Only one suggestion...the drink coupons that can be used anytime. We and several people around us did not realize that you need to save one drink coupon for your meal. If you use up all your drink coupons before the meal then you have to by your drink for your meal...sodas being $3.00 each....so plan ahead if you want to use all you drink coupons before the meal. Food was very good...I especially liked the pig...it was yummy!

We went to the luau on Sunday 2/ 17 and had a wonderful time. We had a rental car so we didn't use the bus shuttle but it is a quick 45 minutes up H1 from Waikiki. We had our sons 19 and 15 and both enjoyed the activities before dinner and the show. Great music, great food...HUGE portions (we purchased the more expensive table service with front row seating which I would highly recommend as the wait staff and cocktail servers are fun and attentive), and a great luau show. When you go to the bar look for the bartender named Lizzie. She makes a superb upscale mai tai. We were seated so close during the show we could feel the heat from the flaming sword performer who was a show stopper...he is amazing. I would recommend and would go again.

First time a Hawaii and loved the luau. We went for the VIP seats and loved the service. The activities before hand was great and put you in the Hawaii spirit. Booking through the computer was easy and a card was waiting for us at our hotel with a reminder and pick up time.

This was a very good luau. Things to do for the kids, a good dinner and show. Wish we were given more time to look around and do things but our bus was very late picking us up. I would recommend this luau otherwise.

We had a great time! The food was good but nothing extraordinary. The actual location and grounds of the Luau are beautiful and we watched the sunset over the ocean. The dancers were very good, and our host, Linden, was absolutely wonderful. He is a crack up and came up with a lot of things to entertain us on the bus. The bar tenders were quick and you never had to wait long for drinks. Jasmine pours a killer Mai Tai. Also, the quality of the rum is good......no hangovers the next day.

Event was extremely well-organized... hard-working staff efficiently received, fed and entertained 800 guests in an outdoor venue over a brief timeframe. Optional transportation from Honolulu is advantageous because the guide promotes partying door to door and the bus driver is the designated driver. Buffet provided sufficient choices for a vegetarian!
