Kailua Beach is a picture perfect sandy white beach surrounded by a protective bay making it the ultimate location for ocean adventures. The protective reef of Kailua Bay allows for safe kayaking and a chance to venture to the beautiful Mokulua islands off Lanikai Beach.
Kailua Sailboards & Kayaks is one of twelve Fanatic Board Centers worldwide. They offer the most up-to-date equipment and have the largest fleet of single and double seater kayaks in the state of Hawaii. Your Ocean Kayak (sit on top, single or double) is equipped with backrests for comfort, paddle leashes and life jackets for safety.
All your guides are certified American Canoe Association (ACA) instructors with over 10 years of professional kayaking experience. They are also certified in Adult CPR/Pediatric CPR and First Aid with the American Heart Association.
Guides are trained to be knowledgeable in history, volcanology, geology, marine biology, botany and ecology of the Hawaiian islands, and are very experienced paddlers who know the waters and islands off Kailua and Lanikai Beach. They will determine the route for the tour depending on weather, water conditions and the ability of the group. They will give you instructions on how to paddle with ease and efficiency and may even teach you how to kayak surf.

This is perfect for first-time kayakers and families including children over 8 years old (must be with guardian in a double kayak). You will have the opportunity to kayak to a protected bird sanctuary and, if conditions permit, to Lanikai Beach, which as been rated as one of the top 10 beaches in the world by CNN and Discovery Travel Channel.
Once your kayak expedition is complete, you can head back out to Kailua Beach to bask and play in the warm tropical sun. Boogie boards and snorkeling gear will be supplied so you can enjoy the rest of the day!

4-Hour Guided Kayaking Excursion

This is perfect for adventure-minded beginners to experienced kayakers and their families including children 13-15 years old (must be with guardian in a double kayak). All participants MUST be able to swim.
