Positives: Most of the food choices were great. We also enjoyed going to the Hawaiian Market as there was a wide variety of local foods to choose from. Curb side drop off in front of the "eateries" was thoughtful and appreciated. Finally, when the Thai restaurant were we going to was not open yet, our guide took us to Pali Lookout and an uncrowded picturesque beach.
Negatives: A little pricey ($500 plus dollars for two people for a 4 hr tour). Finally, in Hawaii everyone dresses casually. None of the places we visited warranted our guide wearing a suit. It felt at times as if he was our body guard.
Improvements: We would have been more willing to pay top dollar for a food tour that gave us more freadom to choose. How about making three stops instead of seven? The food tour could start with the Portugese Donnuts, followed by a customer choice. Everyone taking the tour would have to agree on one of the following local favorites (Giovanni's Shrimp Shack on the North Shore, Dim Sum in China Town, the Hawaiian Market ...) The food tour would then end with Shave Ice.
Good for first-timers!

Our tour guide was very funny, warm, and a good sport. He just needs a little more training as this was his first tour. Overall, he was great, but the price was too high for what you get. This is good for first-timers, not recommended for those who have been to the island more than once.
