The Diamondhead hike was great. The hardest parts were the two sets of stairs. There were plenty of places to stop and rest on the way up and the view from the top was well worth the effort. The Manoa Falls hike was totally different because you walk through a rain forest. The trees and plants were amazing and the waterfall was beautiful. Our guide took pictures for everyone along the way which was really nice. Definitely follow the footwear guidelines. The path can be really muddy and slippery. Don't wear white shoes!

This hike is a bit strenous, but you take several breaks on the way up. Our guide "John" explained how the islands of Hawaii as well as how Diamond Head formed, in such a way I will probably never forget it. The view from Diamond Head was great!
The Lyon Arboretum was beautiful as well.

We had a blast!!! Noah was our guide for the Diamond Head hike and made it extremely enjoyable with his enthusiasm and abundance of information. We even had a lesson in the Hawaiian language.
Greg was our guide for the Manoa Falls hike and also provided us with more than just a hike. He was very knowledgeable about the different trees, plants and animals that have made Manoa Falls their home.
I woiuld definitely recommend both hikes to everyone.

Hike was harder than expected, but VERY enjoyable!! Us "old-timers" were able to keep up, but some of the really old-timers in our group were clearly having trouble. HawaiiActivities.com gave a very detailed instruction for this hike - indicated that it was a moderate (somewhat difficult) hike; that we needed closed-toe shoes; that mesquito repellant was a MUST. This added information helped us to enjoy this hike - - however, other travel agents were not so kind to their clients. We had an individual with flip-flops who thought she was going for a nature stroll and several people commented that they wish they had known to bring bug repellent. No fear - - - our guide had plenty in his van!!!
Guide was very informed and friendly - had water, backpacks, raingear and bug repellent for all - not to mention those handy walking sticks he handed out before the trek. Wonderful time!!

I took the Diamond Head Crater Adventure with Oahu Nature Tours on their 6:00am tour and I was really impressed how our guide. Sky provided such a detailed information, not only about the geology and archaeology of the crater, but interesting information about the history of Hawaii also. You won’t really realize the beauty of the island, the nature and the blue beach, until you reach the very top of Diamond Head which overlooks the town of Waikiki, Honolulu, and the west side of the island?it’s truly an amazing experience!!
In the afternoon, I decided to take the Hawaiian Waterfall Hiking Adventure and I was more impressed how, Bob, our tour guide already started some narrations about the island including the other islands of Polynesia and the scenery we passed by as soon as we were leaving Waikiki. Bob was very friendly, knowledgeable about the area. He’s the best! I felt kind of uncomfortable at first when I knew for the fact that I’ll be hiking with strangers and nobody would talk to me, but Bob made it easier for me. He made me feel that I’ve know him for so long?gathered the rest of the group as Ohana (family)..so no one is left behind as they say?.this was a really fun experience. The elevation of the hike was about 500 feet, it was kind of hard in the beginning especially for someone like me who is not a fan of hiking, but I made it with the rest the group?..as we were hiking, you can see the different colors and types of birds, hear them sing, see different flowers, plants that you can only see on the island of Hawaii. We were also able to taste fruits of papaya and guava on our way up. It was a very educational experience, we also learned why we do not have snakes in Hawaii, isn’t that interesting?
It’s incredible!! WOW!! I’m so glad I took these excursions?and definitely recommend this to anyone planning to visit Hawaii in the future?
