I would recommend the dinner cruise to anyone wanting to have fun. The tour guide was very courteous and friendly. He made sure people were having a good time and asked if we were celebrating something special so it would be recognized. Mykela "Matt" was very energetic and enthusiastic about his job. The entertainment was terrific. The food was delicious. We had a wonderful time. The view of the island from the boat was beautiful.

Sunset Dinner Cruise

This was a great disappointment to our family. We paid for upgraded seats for 6 however the seating was not ready and we ended up helping to move the tables and move the water station and then two of our party had their back to the stage and was always being bumped by passing staff. Would not recommend this to any large parties. The largest would be 4 that they can accommodate. The show was average.

Just remember when you book this that it is the cheapest cruise for a reason. The service was extremely slow, we didn't get our drinks until after dinner and I felt the staff was very rude. The boat was unsanitary, as was the food...I suffered food poisoning the next day and missed out on a whole day of my vacation to sit in a dr's office. Don't order their draft beer...we got a pitcher and the beer was stale but we were still made to pay $15 for it.

We enjoyed the dinner cruise, although i must say that the food is only fair. Our waitress forgot us a few times, so slow service, and although there were empty tables right by the railing, we were seated further toward center of the boat. We asked about upgrades, but were told that there were none to be purchased, so i'm not sure what the yucky seating was about. The dancers were wonderful, the drinks plentiful, and the scenery was just fabulous! The only part that i just didn't enjoy at all was when they had the passengers dancing. Very very cheesy. They did the hokey pokey??? who does the hokey pokey??? They seriously need to update that portion of the cruise, otherwise, very nice.

The best thing about this cruise is the staff. You get the same guy that picks you up in the bus as your server -- however he is the best thing about the cruise. The drinks are small and horrible -- maybe 6 ounces or so in size. You want more? You gotta pay the money. The food is barely edible. I wonder about the cleanliness. The last time I rode Alii Kai was THE LAST time I rode it. There were a couple of very daring, medium sized roaches running across our table as my table mates and I ate. It was disgusting. I wondered how safe it was to be eating the food after that. The tables are plastic garden chairs. The staff/ server/ bus escort who then became an integral part of the entertainment was the best thing about the boat. The entertainment was cheesy at best. I mean it was fun, but the band wasn't very good and they had music for the show which sounded cheesy, and then they used the wait staff to fill in alot of the audience participation stuff. I kind of felt sorry for our server/ bus escort/ entertainer. The boat ride/ catamaran left a lot to be desired as we bobbed up and down and side to side aimlessly. We got awfully close to the water on our side of the boat a few times...I kind of wondered if we would topple over. I would not go on it again, especially because of the roaches, ride quality, and entertainment quality.

This was my 4th time on your boat. It seemed shorter and took a long time to get a drink. Then dinner a little rushed otherwise we had lots of fun.The entertaiment made you forget the other stuff. The hosts, the guys that picked you up on the bus were delightful.

This was my second dinner cruise in Hawaii. The food was decent and the views were spectacular. One item to note, is that if you are looking for a romantic dinner cruise this is NOT the one to take. This cruise is better suited to families and groups of friends, a real party boat.

I loved loved loved this activity!! It was so entertaining and beautiful and so romantic!! The crew worked so hard at entertaining the entire boat constantly. We didn't have one minute where we weren't doing something, and I really think it should be longer! The time went by so fast and they did a great job at making the cruise a memorable experience!!

The dinner cruise was absolutely wonderful. the food was great, the singing and dancing was fantastic and getting the audience to participate was the most fun I've had in a long time. I would recommend all visitors to experience the Ali'i Kai Catermaran Dinner/ party cruise of a lifetime.
