Maui Horseback Riding - Haleakala Summit Safari

You'll travel to Paia Plantation for a continental breakfast and then continue your journey to the summit of Haleakala Crater. After touring around the sugar plantation town of Paia and marveling at the unusual and exotic Protea plants, you'll be off to Thompson Ranch for a fun, relaxing, and informative 1½-hour horseback ride – enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the West Maui Mountains, Lanai, Molokai, and Kaho'olawe. Thompson Ranch, established in 1902, towers 3,700 feet above the Pacific and is nestled on the gentle Western slopes of Haleakala.

Following your horseback ride, you'll enjoy a picnic lunch, elegantly served at neighboring Silver Cloud Ranch. This Hawaiian Plantation Estate with its turn-of-the-century charm offers breathtaking mountain and ocean views. Lunch includes hors d'oeuvres, snowflake rolls, fresh fruit, garden salad with papaya seed dressing, rainbow pasta salad with Italian dressing, smoked chicken, dessert and ice cold soft drinks.

Your Summit Safari continues as you make your final stop in the Paniolo (cowboy) town of Makawao where you can stroll and explore this rustic and historic place with its many unique shops and boutiques.
