The Molokini tour was good...we had a nice location to veiw lots of fish and afterwards we went to another location to see turtles, which was cool...we were so close to the turtles, we could have rubbed noses...The luau was a bit more congested..the show was pretty good, the dancers were hit and miss...some were really good, while others lookes bored...I guess the luau would have been better if I had not seen the Old Lahaina Luau first...that one is hard to compare with...the lines were somewhat annoying...it was kind of a cluster and our seating was like at a family reunion in the backyard than a dining experience...the luau would probably be better if it was only a show...

The boat ride to Molokini was faster, but it was still a bit tedious when traveling less than 15 miles per hour. It did take an hour and fifteen minutes to make the trek from Lahaina Harbor to the island crescent. The first stop was "okay" with only a limited fish variety to view. The second stop (at Turtle Bay) was INCREDIBLE! We had turtles come right up to us and swim within inches of our face. One caveat...they ask you not to touch the turtles as they are an endangered species. This is REALLY hard as it is extremely tempting to reach out and pet one!
There were 98 people aboard our ship, and a smaller, faster boat may be better. It was also extremely crowded at Molokini with several ships idling side-by-side. Imagine thousands of snorkelers in very limited space. I was "finned" in the head more than once. Turtle Bay had only two boats in the area, and there was plenty of spcae for everyone. Per my 7-year-old son, it was "way cooler" than snorkeling at Molokini.
The luau at the Royal Lahaina Resort had over 700 people in attendance the evening we went. Luckily, we were staying at the resort, and the event itself was well-organized. They form a massive line in arrival order and walk through to check tickets while you are waiting. They also hand out shell leis which serve as your entry into the luau.
The show was fantastic as was the food. I was initially concerned about the time it would take to get 700 people through a buffet line, but they had six buffet lines set-up and everyone was through in less than 30 minutes!

The crew on this ship went above and beyond their duties to make sure everyone was happy and enjoying their time. They took extra care to make sure all the guests are safe and especially the children. The ship is not brand new but it has all a person needs to snorkel and enjoy the ocean. Highly recomended.

We had a great time Snorkeling. It was my first time and what a wonderful place to be. Both places were clear and blue as you can imagine. Be sure to take an underwater camera both places are so clear and you'll want to take pictures of the turtles at Turtle Bay
great time!

We had such a great time on our snorkel trip. Turtle bay or town was the best part of the snorkel trip. I have never seen such big and beautiful turtles, and there were so many!
The Luau at the Royal Lahaina was so spectacular! The food was great and the show was awesome! I would highly recommend this show to anyone that is visiting this island.

Our first stop at Molokini crater wasn't very pleasant because of winds that started picking up. I wasn't able to go in the water with my kids because everyone that had gone in were coming right back out because they said it was too ruff. I also didn't like the fact that it took about 2 hours to get there.
Our second stop was much better, we were able to do some snorkeling and it was great. The boat we went on could be kept a bit cleaner than it was, but other than that it was good. The staff was very friendly and the food was a bit cold, but good.
The Luau was definitely the best, from the food to the show, no complaints! All in all we had a great time!
The events were worth the price!

It was an awesome experience and you can see the whole southwestern part of Maui on this boat ride. The staff was great and funny too! I highly recommend this activity and they'll definitely take care of you out there!
I was a little disappointed with the food selection. I was expecting a more Hawaiian cuisine other than the kailua pork and poi of course, but the food was more Americanized. The entertainment was great, but I wish there was more fire dancing and a fire breathing show! That would've closed the deal for me! Overall, for a first timer, it was okay, but everyone are entitled to their opinions. Never know until you try it!
