Description
The Prince Kuhio provides a smooth, comfortable ride and unobstructed 360-degree panoramic view from both the upper and lower decks. Their knowledgeable onboard naturalist will present the most current scientific information about the majestic humpback whales, their migration from Alaska, mating and birthing activities while on Maui, and behavior patterns. You'll also enjoy the pristine beauty of the lush green West Maui mountains and the South Maui coastline. Lunch: The following lunch packages are available for purchase on board.
Alcohole beverages (ice cold beer, wine and Mai Tais) are available for purchase onboard. The Boat: The Prince Kuhio is a 92-foot motor yacht, equipped with an air-conditioned main cabin, large sun deck, upper and lower deck, exterior shade, and a 12 foot bowsprit for great viewing. Very informative. Great to see the whales right off of the boat. Got some awesome photos!

So so trip. We did see 2 whale tails from ~100 yds and they where gone. Got home and the pictures were hardly recognizable. More exciting was seeing the turtles at the inlet on the return trip. Maybe we had bad timing!
December Whale Watching:
December is probably too early to ever pay for whale watching. We only caugt a glimpse of two whales off in the distance for a total of 1 minute. The Kuhio gave us a nice boat ride, but that's about it. Wouldn't do it in December.
