Every dive is unique and you never know what you will see... beautiful, vibrant reef fish, eels, lobster... maybe even a turtle or a reef shark!

Your journey begins with a 10-15 minute scenic boat ride out to the dive site, followed by the submarine dive, which is approximately 35 minutes in length. Your expert narrator will inform you of everything from the formation of the Hawaiian Islands to many species of marine life unique to the Hawaiian waters. View fascinating natural and artificial reefs in air-conditioned comfort!

Sub Details: A 65-foot, 48-passenger, air-conditioned submarine with 26 large 2-foot diameter side view ports and an extra large 53" front view port. Our submarine, as featured in National Geographic television specials, will take you to depths up to 100 feet!

Choose from two different tours: one departs from the Kona Airport (Volcano Deluxe Tour) and one from the Hilo Airport (Formations of Pele). It is an approximate 2 hour drive between Kona & Hilo.

The Helicopter: Sunshine Helicopter's has enjoyed 14 years of excellence in flying as well as a flawless safety record. All pilots are FAA certified and carry an average of more than 10,000 hours of flying experience. The aircraft are brand new ASTAR, 6 passenger helicopters. They are equipped with the exclusive Skycam, which allows 4-computer controlled external video cameras to tape passenger flights as well as one camera in the cockpit to record passenger reactions.

Formations of Pele (Hilo Departure) & Atlantis Submarine

  • Formations of Pele Helicopter Tour: Take a concentrated tour of Kilauea, the most geologically active environment on Earth. Witness Pele's Fountain as molten lava drops off into the Pacific Ocean; see the steaming vents and skylights as well as gorgeous black sand beaches.

    *You CANNOT participate in the Atlantis Submarine Tour at the same day as your Pele Kilauea Tour. The travel time between Kona (West Hawaii) and Hilo (East Hawaii) is about 2 hours. You may book your Pele Kilauea Tour for any time within 7 days of your Atlantis Submarine Tour.

Volcano Deluxe Tour (Kona Departure) & Atlantis Submarine

  • Volcano Deluxe Helicopter Tour: Your adventure begins with unbelievable views of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa. Then explore the raging active volcano Kilauea as well as the dramatic beauty of the Hamakua Coast. Soon you'll be off to the Kohala Mountains for a view of steep ocean cliffs, deep winding valleys of Waimanu and Waipio and daring 2,000-foot tropical waterfalls. This is a two-hour event, 105-minute flight plus a touch down determined the day of the tour.
