The ever-changing colors and landscape of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park unfolds as rainforest gives way to barren lava fields. Witness a myriad of waterfalls and peer into Pu'u O'o vent (weather permitting). Search for active lava flows and experience the "newest place" on earth, "Pele's Fountain" where molten lava erupts into the Pacific Ocean as waves crash ashore. A once in a lifetime experience!
The Helicopter:
Sunshine Helicopter's has enjoyed 14 years of excellence in flying as well as a flawless safety record. All pilots are FAA certified and carry an average of more than 10,000 hours of flying experience. The aircraft are brand new ASTAR, 6 passenger helicopters. They are equipped with the exclusive Sky-Camsm, which allows 4-computer controlled external video cameras to tape passenger flights as well as one camera in the cockpit to record passenger reactions.
Body Glove Dolphin-Snorkel Afternoon Sail
(3 hrs, Kailua-Kona Departure, Apr - Dec ONLY):

Go sailing with Body Glove Cruises - see playful Hawaii dolphins, and snorkel with brilliantly colored tropical fish and sea turtles on a snorkeling adventure at Pawai Bay, near Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii!

Upon arrival to Pawai Bay the crew of the Body Glove will provide you with all instruction and equipment for successful snorkeling. You'll enjoy beautiful snorkeling conditions in crystal clear blue waters.

The whole family will love the 15-foot waterslide, and the high-dive platform makes a big "splash" with the kids, as well as those who are kids at heart. During the tour, fresh island snacks and beverages are served. During winter season (Dec - Apr), this afternoon tour will be Whale Watch Sail.
The Crew and Boat:

U.S. Coast Guard licensed captain, First Mate, licensed bartender, and deck hands, all trained in First Aid and C.P.R.

The Body Glove is a comfortable and stable 51-foot vessel. It is wheelchair accessible and features the latest in safety equipment, spacious upper sundeck, large shaded cabin, fresh water showers, and his and her restrooms. The "Ship's Store" offers a full service premium bar, sunscreen, film, underwater cameras, binoculars, T-shirts, hats, and customized underwater VHS videos – all available for purchase.

  • Wheel Chair Accessibility: Facilities at the Hilo Airport are ADA compliant. Helicopter chairlifts are available for HILO flights, by special request with at least 2 days prior booking and notification. Please indicate during booking to secure arrangements. For Kona Sailing, Wheelchair must be able to fit on a ramp that is 3 feet wide. The Body Glove is wheelchair accessible and features the latest in safety equipment, spacious upper sundeck, large shaded cabin, fresh water showers, and his and her restrooms.

  • ASTAR passengers weighing 240 lbs or more may be required to purchase a comfort seat. Accurate weights are critical for clients comfort and satisfaction.
