I HAVE DONE SUNSET DINNER CRUISES BEFORE IN MAUI. WE HAD A LITTLE ENTERTAINMENT AND DINNER THERE. THIS ONE, NO ENTERTAINMENT AND IF YOU DONT DRINK ALCOHOL, THE FOOD IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY YOU SPEND. REALLY ONLY WORTH IT IF YOU DRINK.

This dinner cruise was wonderful. We were a little hesitant taking our 4-year old but we figured we'd give it a go! SO GLAD THAT WE DID! We had a blast! There were couples, friends and families on this trip and we all had a great time together. We were surprised and very pleased at the food! It was great! We all went back for seconds. The crew was fun and they made sure that everyone was enjoying themselves. When a couple of the people got nauseous (I am really sensitive to seasickness and I had NO PROBLEM), the crew was very helpful and attended to them immediately. Our Captain got a call that there was a mother and baby whale so he took us over to see them...we got some great pictures. I would recommend this dinner cruise to everyone...it was well worth it. I will definitely go again next time I am on the Big Island.

Dinner Cruise - Red Sail

Though the food was great and the staff also very gracious and accommodating, we think the boat was actually not very well set up for a dinner cruise. Some people didn't even have a table to eat from, and it was very crowded. This is a snorkeling boat that does a dinner cruise a couple times a week or so. Overall, it was fun eating out on the water, and we got to see whales, but I think it would have been more enjoyable and more worth the money we paid to have a nice dinner on a boat, rather than trying to eat from paper plates on a rocking boat. If someone is wanting to book a dinner cruise, don't expect it to be more than a casual thing on a snorkeling boat with this company. If that's all you want, it'll be great, but I'd really expected something a bit more ... dinner like.

This was our first trip to Hawaii. Since we were going to be there for our anniversity, we wanted to do something special and romantic for that night. We could't have made a better choice. This by far was our favorite activity while on the islands. It was just fantastic! The crew was very helpful and enjoyable, food was good. It was a small enough group that you were able to mingle and meet some of the other passengers on board. We saw a pod of whales that were playing not far from us. Much more activity than on our whale watch cruise. It was so relaxing and romantic to just sit on deck and watch the sun set.

During a prior visit (Dec 06), we were on the beach when a catamaran sunset dinner cruise picked up its passengers. We thought we would give it a try on our next visit to Hawaii. I did some searching on the internet and found this cruise and decided to go for it. What a fantastic time! We boarded at 4:00 and arrived back around 6:00 or so. The 3 crew members were great - friendly but not intrusive, helpful and gave great instructions for boarding, safety, etc. We cruised to a little bay near Mauna Lani and had dinner. There were only 12 guests, which was a perfect number - the boat was roomy and you never felt crowded. Dinner was wonderful - fresh fruit, salad, mahi mahi, london broil, chicken, pasta, numerous desserts. It tasted great and there was plenty so no one should come away from this hungry. Also, all beverages were included in the price - all you could drink, including soft drinks, wine and mixed drinks. After dinner, we sailed for a bit and headed back to the beach as the sun went down. You could stand by the rail in the open air, stay underneath out of the wind, sit on the back - plenty of room to see from all angles. We will definitely pay to do this cruise again & highly recommend it to everyone. Probably not great for young children - food and beverages lean more towards adults. My only "complaint" - if you did not arrive at the beach with the Red Sail transportation van, there were no signs or markings to let you know to wait there. We stood with another couple hoping that we were in the right place until the van group showed up. Otherwise - absolutely fabulous & very relaxing!

We had the best time. The staff is really great at balancing sailing activities, saftey and catering to the customers. The food is plentiful and appropriate for the setting (catamaran). The view was so outstanding and it provided a perspective of the island you cannot get if you are landbound. We highly reommend this trip. All of the above and not crowded too!
