Every winter the Humpback Whales migrate to Hawaii to mate and give birth. They arrive in December and depart in April. Your Naturalist Captain will provide narration on the Whale's behavior, and they are equipped with hydrophones on-board to listen for whale song.

Frequently sighted during the expeditions are dolphins, manta rays, turtles and other marine life. The fast moving Zodiac's get you into position quickly and provide an exhilarating and fun ride. The Zodiac's low profile and high maneuverability has made them recognized worldwide as the best way to explore the marine environment.

As time allows the Zodiacs can get close up to the many lava tubes, sea caves, sea grottoes and wave powered blow holes. You will learn how the island was formed as the Captains share their knowledge about the geology of the island's lava flow.
