We first catch our breath on the shores of Samoa,
watching the rise of Malietoa, a title of honor and leadership,
perpetuated and maintained by the traditions of the "Fa'a Samoa"
(the Samoan ways) providing the fertile soil to grow deep roots which
strengthen Samoan generations of past, present and future. Enriched
by its spontaneous and joyful atmosphere, a full repertoire of rhythm is
mingled with laughter which will surely leave you entertained and
breathless.

Tahitian Dance
|
The journey then finds us in Tahiti where
the glory of King Pomare I comes to life. Surrounded by his ra'atira
(nobles), King Pomare I ruled over a united Tahitian kingdom,
amidst the melodious, pounding rhythms of the wooden drums. Dancers
fill the stage as they recount the stories of the migrating birds that bid
their ancestors to come and inhabit these jeweled islands.

Hawaii
|
Follow the path of the outrigger's billowing sails
to Hawaii, where a young Ali'i would fulfill his destiny and bring
the entire chain of islands under his reign. King Kamehameha I,
is hailed as a Conqueror and leader who brought an end to generations of
tribal warring, ushering the Hawaiian Islands into a new era of peace.

Maori Warrior
|
Be filled with awe as our chief navigator and
settler of over half of Aotearoa (New Zealand) is honored. The
warrior's devotion to Chief Potatau Te Wherowhero is seen in the display
of the war canoe and the pronouncement of karakia, words of belssing over
the King. Along side their men, the women show their respect with
dances combining poi balls and gestures of their strength. It is a
celebration of establishment and success of the Maori tanga (traditional
way).

peace and unity to all.
