The food was bland, food was self-served on canteen trays, seating was on plastic garden chair, the mai tai hardly had any alcohol in it.
Not what I would call special.
The overall taste and quality of the meal is below average.
The Luau picture was taken as any normal picture, not worth $20, I did not buy.
For $75 per person meal, I expect higher quality food.
I would not recommend this to my friends.

Great entertainment. The food was very good- better than I had expected. Make sure you try the ono!

Kind of disapointing. Food was ok, entertainment was ok, setting by the water was nice but oilcloth tableclothes and cheap plastic chairs were kind of a turnoff. Dancers were pretty good but not exactly what I was expecting.

This was our first trip to Hawaii, and we thought the luau was a great value! The food was great, and since our room looked over the luau area, we got to see the pig being put in the imu pit early in the day, and then experienced how great it tasted hours later!
Unfortunately our luau was rained out just as the show started, and though we got a raincheck for the show, we had another event planned for luau nights and could only come late into the show. I think we missed a good portion of the fire dancers as we only saw one guy. What we did see was great though!
I'd definitely do it again.

Wait staff seemed to have difficulty keeping food replenished in the serving area. We enjoyed the more intimate size as compared to other luaus we have attended.

This was a great experience to learn about the history of Hawaii and it's polynesian ancestory. The only thing that I was disappointed in was having to pay $20 for a single photo that was taken of my wife and I. A little steap for a single photo.

I had a great time and I would do it again. This was a one of a kind experience.

The luau at the Royal Kona Resort was okay. They had a big food variety and nice entertainment. I guess I just expected a luau that was more realistic to how the ancient hawaiians used to do them. It was a good show but I dont think that it was worth all the money that I paid. However, it is a nice welcoming to the big island when you arrive.

We had a wonderful time. Not very please about the buffet. But we had the perfect view.... the shows are very entertaining. Mahalo!!!!!
