Your day begins as you fly from the Big Island of Hawai'i to the Island of Oahu. Here, you'll board a comfortable Polynesian Adventure Tours bus and meet your experienced driver and guide for a narrated tour which begins at Pearl Harbor.

At Pearl Harbor you'll have the opportunity to visit the USS Arizona Memorial Visitor's Center and museum and also view a documentary film on the Pearl Harbor attack. A navy launch will then transport you to the USS Arizona Memorial where you will view the sunken hull of the USS Arizona battleship. A guided visit to the battleship USS Missouri, where the armistice ending WWII was signed, will complete your Pearl Harbor tour.

Departing Pearl Harbor you will travel through Honolulu for views of the National Cemetery of the Pacific, Kawaiahao Church, City Hall, Mission Houses Museum, Iolani Palace and King Kamehameha Statue.

You will make a one to one and a half hour stop in bustling Waikiki for lunch and self-guided sightseeing, and if time permits drive through Diamond Head Crater and Pali Lookout before your flight back to the Big Island.

Restriction(s)

  • Participants may not scuba dive within 24 hours prior to this activity.
  • For all island flights or day trips, the name should appear as it is on picture ID (license or passport). Inter-island Air Carriers will deny boarding if the passenger's legal name, as shown on their valid, government-issued ID does NOT match the name on their E-Ticket. IF A PASSENGER IS DENIED BOARDING, THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS.
  • Wheel Chair Accessibility: A transfer vehicle equipped with a lift is available with prior booking and notification of at least 4-7 days. Please indicate during booking to secure arrangements. All island stops and facilities visited at the Arizona Memorial are accessible.

  • All passengers MUST present government issued, photo ID for airline check-in.
  • Children 2 years old are required to pay for the airfare and ride in the lap of an adult in the vehicle.

  • Baggage storage will be available inside the USS Bowfin Submarine Park for a small fee of $3.00 per bag.
  • No large bags/luggage allowed.
  • Admission to the memorial is free. Free tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis (these tickets cannot be reserved, even for tours) for timed programs to the memorial. Timed programs include a 23-minute documentary film about the attack on Pearl Harbor and the boat trip to the USS Arizona Memorial. Programs begin at 7:45 a.m. The last program each day begins at 3:00 p.m. The wait time for a program may be as long as two hours depending on the season.
